The Carbon Hippie Run Continues in 2023<\/strong>\u00a0<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n

Carbon County, PA \u2013 January 26, 2023\u00a0<\/em><\/strong>\u2013 The Carbon Chamber and Economic Development (CCEDC) in association with the Business Education\u00a0Partnership\u00a0are excited to announce the return of the\u00a0Hippie 5K Run\/Walk on Saturday, April 15, 2023 (Rain date: April 16th). This family-friendly event is an official<\/p>\n

\u201cGet Your Tail on the Trail\u201d Run\/Walk starting from the Lehighton trailhead.<\/p>\n

Registration begins at 8:30 a.m. and the run at 9:30 a.m.<\/p>\n

Be sure to dress in your hippie best!\u00a0A prize will be awarded to the best dressed hippie!<\/p>\n

This event would not be possible without our groovy sponsors. Thank you to St. Luke\u2019s Carbon, Lehighton Outdoor Center, Lehighton Walmart, and Lehigh Carbon Community College for continuing to support community events.<\/p>\n

Proceeds fund the CCEDC\/Business Education scholarship fund. Local\u00a02023\u00a0high school graduates are eligible for the scholarship. Students need to be nominated by their district and are requested to volunteer for the event to qualify. School Administrators are instructed to contact Marianne Rustad of the CCEDC at 610-379-5000 to submit student information.<\/p>\n

Student nominations are to be submitted by March 30th<\/sup>.<\/p>\n

Registration fee is $35 per person with a discount for teams of 3 or more. Register before March 15th<\/sup><\/p>\n

and receive a Hippie 5K tee-shirt! Enjoy FREE on-site refreshments and the live broadcast by the Colossal Community Podcast.\u00a0Medals will be awarded for different age categories ranging from 14 years old and younger to 70 plus.<\/p>\n
