Carbon County \u2013 March 1, 2023<\/em><\/strong>\u00a0–\u00a0The Carbon Chamber & Economic Development Corp. (CCEDC), in partnership with the Manufacturers Resource Center is pleased to announce the 10th<\/sup>\u00a0Annual What\u2019s So Cool About Manufacturing video contest!<\/p>\n

Each year students from middle schools in the Lehigh Valley and Carbon County visit local manufacturers and interview owners and employees on the topic of what is so cool about manufacturing.\u00a0The videos are meant to educate students and parents about careers in the manufacturing sectors.<\/p>\n

This year\u2019s contest includes all 5 school districts from Carbon County.\u00a0Teams from L.B. Morris School, Lehighton Area Middle School, Palmerton Area Jr. High School, Panther Valley Jr.\/Sr. High School, Penn-Kidder Campus and Weatherly Area Middle School visited various manufacturers in Carbon County and produced videos showcasing what these companies produce.\u00a0Companies that are featured are: Fronti Fabrications in Little Gap, TPEI in Mahoning Township, Ampal in Little Gap, B.T.M. Incorporated in Jim Thorpe, Architectural Polymers in Little Gap and Hydra Tech Pumps in Nesquehoning.<\/p>\n

Voting for your favorite video is open from March 1st<\/sup>\u00a0to March 3rd<\/sup>.\u00a0You can watch the videos and vote for your favorite at\u00a0https:\/\/www.whatssocool.org\/contests\/lehigh-valley\/\u00a0<\/a><\/p>\n

The awards ceremony will be held at Arts Quest Center at SteelStacks in Bethlehem on March 14th<\/sup>\u00a02023. Representatives from the companies will be attending along with the respective schools.\u00a0\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n
