{"id":116950,"date":"2023-03-22T21:29:10","date_gmt":"2023-03-23T01:29:10","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.thevalleyledger.com\/?p=116950"},"modified":"2023-03-22T21:29:10","modified_gmt":"2023-03-23T01:29:10","slug":"air-products-supports-communities-in-schools-of-eastern-pennsylvania-with-25000-gift","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.thevalleyledger.com\/?p=116950","title":{"rendered":"Air Products Supports Communities in Schools of Eastern Pennsylvania with $25,000 Gift"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>The funds will impact 13 elementary schools in the Lehigh Valley.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Allentown, PA (March 22, 2023) <\/strong>&#8211; Communities In Schools of Eastern Pennsylvania (CISEasternPA) has been awarded $25,000 from the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.airproducts.com\/company\/sustainability\/care\/corporate-citizenship\/charitable-giving\"><u>Air Products Foundation<\/u><\/a> in partnership with <a href=\"https:\/\/www.unitedwayglv.org\/\"><u>United Way of the<\/u><\/a> <a href=\"https:\/\/www.unitedwayglv.org\/\"><u>Greater Lehigh Valley<\/u><\/a>. The generous contribution will support programs in the 13 community schools in which CISEasternPA is the lead partner.<\/p>\n<p>The funds will assist programming dealing with housing insecurity, hunger, academic challenges (during and after school), mentoring, health services (mental\/dental\/other), tutoring, summer programs, and a variety of intervention programs such as absenteeism prevention and the Student Assistance Program (SAP).<\/p>\n<p>CISEasternPA serves in 13 community schools in the region. In the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.allentownsd.org\/\"><u>Allentown School District<\/u><\/a>: <a href=\"https:\/\/cen.allentownsd.org\/\"><u>Central<\/u><\/a> <a href=\"https:\/\/cen.allentownsd.org\/\"><u>Elementary<\/u><\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/hay.allentownsd.org\/\"><u>Brigadier General Anna Mae Hays Elementary<\/u><\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/ros.allentownsd.org\/\"><u>Roosevelt Elementary<\/u><\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/shr.allentownsd.org\/\"><u>Sheridan Elementary<\/u><\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/unt.allentownsd.org\/\"><u>Union Terrace Elementary<\/u><\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/was.allentownsd.org\/\"><u>Washington Elementary<\/u><\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/ham.allentownsd.org\/\"><u>Harrison Morton Middle<\/u><\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/smt.allentownsd.org\/\"><u>South Mountain Middle<\/u><\/a>, and <a href=\"https:\/\/trx.allentownsd.org\/\"><u>Trexler Middle Schools<\/u><\/a>. In the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.basdschools.org\/\"><u>Bethlehem Area School District<\/u><\/a>: <a href=\"https:\/\/basdwpweb.beth.k12.pa.us\/lincoln\/\"><u>Lincoln Elementary<\/u><\/a> and <a href=\"https:\/\/basdwpweb.beth.k12.pa.us\/northeast\/\"><u>Northeast<\/u><\/a> <a href=\"https:\/\/basdwpweb.beth.k12.pa.us\/northeast\/\"><u>Middle<\/u><\/a> Schools. In the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.eastonsd.org\/\"><u>Easton Area School District<\/u><\/a>: <a href=\"https:\/\/cheston.eastonsd.org\/\"><u>Cheston Elementary<\/u><\/a> and <a href=\"https:\/\/paxinosa.eastonsd.org\/\"><u>Paxinosa Elementary<\/u><\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>During the 2021-2022 school year, CISEasternPA\u2019s Community School program served 8,263 students. Site coordinators connected school leadership, volunteers, community partners, and parents in ways that guided positive change and buy-in from all stakeholders.
