Lehigh Valley Legends Basketball Host Celebrity All-Star Games with Performances by <\/em>Roc Nation, WayMaker, Mascot LeVi, and Local Artists
\n<\/em><\/p>\n

LEHIGH VALLEY, PA \u2013 April 7, 2023<\/strong> \u2013The Basketball League (TBL), known for delivering a world class professional basketball experience will spend Easter weekend in Lehigh Valley this year.\u00a0 Players, executives, staff and fans representing the leagues\u2019 49 teams will converge on Lafayette College <\/strong>campus for the TBL 2nd<\/sup> Annual All-Star Weekend, April 7 \u2013 8, 2023.<\/strong><\/p>\n

\u201cWe are thrilled to bring our signature event of All-Star Weekend to the Lehigh Valley area. Legends\u2019 Majority Team Market Owner, James Stewart, and our Lehigh Valley Legends will host an exciting, memorable and legendary 2-day event,\u201d says David Magley, TBL President.<\/p>\n

The weekend\u2019s festivities begin with a \u201cKick-Off Performance\u201d by local artist King F.A.M.E., also known as James Stewart Jr., \u201cAKA\u201d JJ.\u00a0 This will be a surprise to Legends\u2019 superfans who usually see the President\u2019s son in his well-executed role as Director of Game-Day Operations.\u00a0 Additional performances slated throughout TBL\u2019s star-studded weekend include Jay Z\u2019s Roc Nation artist, HDBeenDope along with performances by WayMaker artists JuSteph and Mz Aretta.\u00a0 Rounding out musical entertainment is local crowd pleaser, LG Izz, who is expected to deliver a heart-felt, yet in-your-face showstopper with hits, \u201cNo Label\u201d and \u201cKeep My Spirit Alive\u201d.<\/p>\n

What about the games you ask?\u00a0 The Celebrity and All-Star games will tip-off on Saturday, April 8th<\/sup> at 2:30 p.m. and 5:35 p.m. respectively. \u00a0Players include local sports celebrities, Lehigh Valley home-town heroes and top-ranked players from The Basketball League\u2019s 49 North American teams and regional areas.\u00a0 TBL\u2019s 2nd<\/sup> Annual All-Star teams are named after TBL CEO and President\u2019s grandchildren, 11 year-old Blake and 8 year -old Grant Gabou.\u00a0 Team Blake showcases TBL Midwest and Central Conference players while Team Grant showcases East and West Conference players.<\/p>\n

All-Star Team Blake<\/strong>, Coached by Albany Patroon\u2019s Derrick Rowland includes Trevis Wyche, Albany; Roman-Angueira, Fayetteville Josh; Aquille Carr, Reading;Ja\u2019Quan Newton, Syracuse; Ja James, Lehigh Valley Legends<\/strong>, Brandon Taylor, Atlantic City; James \u201cJJ\u201d Richardson, Georgia Sou; Armani Chaney, Newfoundland Rogues; Allen Billinger, Salem; Michael Carter, Seattle; Mark Carter, Long Beach; Christopher Turner, Bakersfield; and Rodriquess Palmer, Raleigh.<\/p>\n

All-Star Team Grant<\/strong>, coached by Potawatomi Fire\u2019s Mark Dannhoff includes Ed Dyson III, Kalamazoo; Chris Darrington, Toledo; Derk \u201cHawk\u201d Hawthorne, Kokomo; Greg Foster, Medora; La\u2019Darius Carter, Huntsville; Vance Hall, Derby City; Cam Mitchell, Kentucky; Deshawn Munson, Potawatomi; Chuck Guy, Potawatomi; Teddy Allen, Wichita; Paul Parks, Shreveport; and Ethan Chargios, Enid.<\/p>\n

The pint-sized entrepreneurs are also the league\u2019s youth initiative, JRTBL, CEO and President. TBL CEO, Evelyn Magley and President, David Magley appointed their grandchildren, Blake and Grant, as high-level executives for their community empowerment arm of TBL.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe wanted youth to run our youth initiative,\u201d Jennifer Magley writes in a Forbes Magazine contribution article, \u201c\u2026 (JRTBL) by design is to give back to local communities through events and activities that empower youth.\u201d<\/p>\n

And the Magley\u2019s deliver with a Jr TBL Basketball Clinic on Saturday, April 8th<\/sup> from 11:00 \u2013 1:30pm for ages 6-13.\u00a0 The exhibition is free to those who register on Eventbrite and will focus on basketball skills presentations and techniques followed by a financial literacy seminar tailored for children.<\/p>\n

League Commissioner, Carlnel Wiley and Lehigh Valley Legends\u2019 executives did not miss on incorporating TBL\u2019s mission.\u00a0 In true fashion, \u201cWhere the Spirit of the Game Lives\u201d will reign as the audience gets to watch an amplified \u201c3-Point Shooting Contest<\/strong> with our own Ja James (All-Star Team Blake) and Monty Boykins. The highly competitive \u201cDunk Contest\u201d<\/strong> is also on deck.\u00a0 Hometown Hero and Heavyweight Boxing Champ, Larry Holmes is rumored to be giving champion \u201cbelts\u201d to winners in these categories.<\/p>\n

Crowd fans are encouraged to participate in interactive craziest fan, dribble relay, free throw, hoop shot, basketball bowling, half-court shot, t-shirt toss and obstacle course contests.<\/p>\n
