Bethlehem, PA, April 11, 2023 \u2013\u00a0ArtsQuest<\/a>\u00a0today, announces several exciting free stage headliners to perform at the Air Products Americaplatz at Levitt Pavilion SteelStacks presented by Lehigh Valley Health Network, during this year\u2019s 40th<\/sup>\u00a0celebration of Musikfest.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe are excited to introduce these top artists that represent music from across 40 years of Musikfest,\u201d commented Patrick Brogan, Chief Programming Director of ArtsQuest. \u201cMagic!, Devon Allman & Donavon Frankenreiter and Wheatus perfectly reflect music from the old to the new and are just a sampling of the full free stage lineup that we can\u2019t wait to announce very soon!\u201d<\/p>\n

Magic!\u00a0<\/strong>will take the stage on Friday, August 4 at 9 p.m. This Canadian reggae fusion band, founded in 2012, are best known for their hit single \u201cRude,\u201d which charted at No. 1 in several countries worldwide, including the U.S. and U.K. They\u2019re heavily inspired by the Police and Bob Marley and the Wailers. Their debut album\u00a0Don\u2019t Kill the Magic<\/em>\u00a0was released in 2014, followed by\u00a0Primary Colours<\/em>\u00a0in 2016 and\u00a0Expectations<\/em>\u00a0in 2018.<\/p>\n

Devon Allman & Donavon Frankenreiter<\/strong>, will rock out during their\u00a0See It All American Tour<\/em>, performing on Saturday, August 5 at 9:30 p.m. The duo is performing in 50 states in 50 days in an official Guinness World Record attempt, with the Musikfest play being their Pennsylvania stop. With over a dozen albums under his belt, Frankenreiter has been on a worldwide touring trail for three decades. Music Award-winning singer, guitarist, songwriter and producer Allman (son of Rock legend Gregg Allman) has appeared at the world\u2019s biggest music festivals and co-founded supergroups Royal Southern Brotherhood and The Allman Betts Band.<\/p>\n

Wheatus\u00a0<\/strong>will perform on Friday, August 11 at 9:30 p.m. An\u00a0American rock band from Northport, New York, Wheatus, formed in 1995, are known for their 2000 single \u201cTeenage Dirtbag.\u201d The song has appeared in films\u00a0Loser<\/em>\u00a0and\u00a0Bully<\/em>, the HBO miniseries\u00a0Generation Kill<\/em>, Netflix original series\u00a0Girlboss\u00a0<\/em>and\u00a0The Chilling Adventures of Sabrina<\/em>\u00a0and the Hulu original miniseries\u00a0The Girl from Plainville<\/em>. The band toured coast-to-coast in 2019, followed by Europe and the U.K. They\u2019ve supported bands like Everclear, Hoobastank and Living Colour on the Summerland Tour.<\/p>\n

These are the first three shows ArtsQuest has announced for Musikfest 2023 free stage lineup. The organization will be announcing hundreds of additional artists later this spring.<\/p>\n

Musikfest is the nation\u2019s largest free music festival, presented by ArtsQuest. It is community-run, community-supported and relies heavily on the 4,500+ volunteers that return year after year. A record-breaking 1,240,000 people attended Musikfest in 2022. The 11-day festival featured over 500 free performances, across 16 stages located throughout the City of Bethlehem. The 40th Musikfest is scheduled for Aug. 4 \u2013 13, 2023 with an extended run to include a preview night on Aug. 3.
