The program was started by Mayor Sal Panto Jr. in 2020 during the height of the pandemic as a way to support restaurant owners by expanding their outdoor seating areas into street parking spaces. The program became popular with business owners and diners alike, so it has been continued. Easton Alfresco officially kicks off this coming Saturday, May 6, rain or shine.

Restaurants throughout the city were invited to apply to participate in the program. In preparation for the launch, the City’s Department of Public Works placed cement jersey walls in parking spaces in front of or alongside of participating restaurants to cordon off their expanded outdoor dining areas. (A separate city codes and zoning program governs sidewalk dining setups.)

While the restaurants which are participating in the 2023 program (see list below) represent only a portion of those that exist in the city, the Easton Alfresco marketing campaign promotes ALL city restaurants that offer some form of outdoor dining, whether on a patio, deck, or sidewalk. The Easton Alfresco website lists more than 40 city restaurants with outdoor dining

facilities in order to assist diners and visitors in finding and reviewing all of the options. www.eastonalfresco.com

This is the list of the restaurants participating in the 2023 Expanded Outdoor Dining Program (expanded dining areas in parking spaces):

3rd & Ferry Fish Market

Easton Public Market

Kabinett Wine Bar

Lehigh Valley BBQ

Mesa Modern Mexican

Porters’ Pub

River Grille

Sette Luna

Tandoor Grill

Two Rivers Brewing

Easton Alfresco will be promoted across the region from now through the program’s conclusion at the end of October on the city’s three social media outlets (Facebook, Instagram, Twitter), its web site, its monthly municipal enewsletter, on a billboard at Rt. 22 and 25th St., wraps on the cement jersey walls, and in select Lehigh Valley media outlets.

Information provided to TVL by:
Tracey Werner
City of Easton Marketing Consultant

‘Easton Alfresco’ kicks off this Saturday, May 6 EASTON, PA – May 3, 2023 – There’s something magical about the warmer weather that draws people outside for a range of … Continue reading City of Easton brings back Expanded Outdoor Dining Program to entice diners to eat outside →

"_jetpack_memberships_contains_paid_content":false
[5718,69,482

post-118077","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","has-post-thumbnail","hentry","category-easton","category-in-the-valley","category-press-release-2
