The Allentown Rescue Mission will collect canned and boxed non-perishable food items to feed the hundreds of homeless men who need their services annually when the IronPigs take on the Buffalo Bisons, Saturday, May 27<sup>th<\/sup>, 6:35 p.m., at Coca-Cola Park.<\/p>\n<p>Donation stations will be set up at both the East and West gates located at the front of the ballpark. Food items can be dropped off when the gates open until the end of the second inning.<\/p>\n<p>Below is a list of urgently needed items to provide the men with balanced meals:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Bottled Water<\/li>\n<li>Canned Collard Greens<\/li>\n<li>Canned Spinach<\/li>\n<li>Granola &amp; Cereal Bars<\/li>\n<li>Grocery Store Gift Cards<\/li>\n<li>Powdered Drink Mixes<\/li>\n<li>Powdered Eggs<\/li>\n<li>Single Serve Beverages<\/li>\n<li>Single Serve Chips<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Grocery store gift cards enable the Mission to purchase nutritious, perishable food, like fresh fruits and vegetables, for its guests.<\/p>\n<p>Please come out and support the Allentown Rescue Mission and your Lehigh Valley IronPigs!<\/p>\n<p><u>About the Allentown Rescue Mission<\/u>: The Allentown Rescue Mission strives to Rescue, Rehabilitate, and Restore homeless men through its three distinct programs based on accountability and compassion. In addition to emergency shelter services (365 days a year), the Allentown Rescue Mission offers a residential life skills program, and transitional employment on the Clean Team Workforce that\u2019s available for hire to the community. The Clean Team Workforce pays the men above PA state minimum wage\u2013 helping them save a nest egg to transition back into the community.
