{"id":120410,"date":"2023-07-11T21:24:15","date_gmt":"2023-07-12T01:24:15","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.thevalleyledger.com\/?p=120410"},"modified":"2023-07-11T21:24:15","modified_gmt":"2023-07-12T01:24:15","slug":"wildlands-conservancy-wild-at-minsi-2023","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.thevalleyledger.com\/?p=120410","title":{"rendered":"Wildlands Conservancy \u2013 Wild at Minsi 2023!"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><em>(Featured image provided by Wildlands Conservancy)<\/em><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><strong>Saturdays and Sundays, July 08 \u2013 September 24, 2023<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Explore Lake Minsi independently in this free borrow-a-canoe opportunity with Wildlands Conservancy!\u00a0 <\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Wild at Minsi<\/strong> is a <strong>free<\/strong>-to-the-public <strong>walk-up<\/strong> opportunity. <strong>No pre-registration is required<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Dates<\/strong>: Every Saturday and Sunday from <strong>July 08 through September 24.<\/strong><\/li>\n<li><strong>Time<\/strong>: 9:00am to 1:00pm<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><em>(arrival time optional, but please get started before noon for at least an hour of fun)<\/em><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Location<\/strong>: 49 Blue Mountain Dr., Bangor, PA 18013<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Parking<\/strong>: Meet at the West Shore Parking Lot for Minsi Lake.<\/p>\n<p>Wildlands Conservancy Guides will provide canoe equipment as well as knowledge of the area, paddling tips and instructions so that you can explore the lake on your own while guides remain nearby.<\/p>\n<p><strong>There are a few rules:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Each participant must sign a liability waiver.<\/li>\n<li>Life jackets must be worn and remain buckled or zipped at all times.<\/li>\n<li>Do not stand up in the canoes.<\/li>\n<li>Children must be accompanied by an adult.<\/li>\n<li>Alcoholic beverages are prohibited.<\/li>\n<li>Please follow instructions from the Wildlands Conservancy Guides.
