Andria Zaia, NMIH Curator of Collections, has been appointed interim Executive Director.<\/p>\n<p>NMIH Board Chairman Charles Marcon expressed the Board of Directors\u2019 gratitude for Ms. Mohsinger\u2019s dedicated leadership and commitment to the organization. Mohsinger, who served in the roles of Chief Financial Officer and then President &amp; CEO of the organization over the past 8 years, has accepted a position as Chief Financial Officer at the United Way of the Greater Lehigh Valley.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIt has been a privilege to serve the community and forward the mission of NMIH. I am grateful to the Board of Directors for their supportive leadership and to the staff and volunteers who dedicated their time and talents to achieving the many accomplishments and milestones we\u2019ve reached. The museum has a bright future and is in highly capable hands with Andria and her team,\u201d said Mohsinger.<\/p>\n<p>Andria Zaia joined NMIH as Curator of Collections in 2016. She has a Master\u2019s degree in Anthropology from New Mexico Highlands University and completed a Bachelor\u2019s degree in Anthropology at Drew University.\u00a0 With a background in collections, education, and exhibit curation, Zaia has worked in a variety of museum environments for over 20 years.\u00a0 Prior to joining NMIH, Zaia served as the Curator of Collections and Archives at the Northampton County Historical &amp; Genealogical Society (NCHGS) where she played an integral role in designing exhibits at the Society\u2019s Sigal Museum.\u00a0 In addition to her background in museum work, Zaia is also a professor of Anthropology at Northampton County Community College and specializes in textile manufacturing in the American Southwest and North Africa.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cKara\u2019s proven leadership and dedication to the mission of the museum have strengthened countless partnerships and educational programs. The foundation she has set with her commitment to the museum and the public we serve will support thriving initiatives for years to come,\u201d said Zaia.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe are excited to embark upon the next chapter in the Museum\u2019s evolution and have the utmost confidence in the staff, with Andria\u2019s leadership and experience, to face the challenges and opportunities ahead,\u201d said Marcon.<\/p>\n<p><strong>ABOUT THE NATIONAL MUSEUM OF INDUSTRIAL HISTORY<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>A Smithsonian Institution-affiliate, the National Museum of Industrial History is dedicated to preserving America\u2019s rich industrial heritage.
