Scared Scriptless\u00a0<\/em>which Colin performs with his long time comedy partner, Brad Sherwood, is the\u00a0<\/em>longest running live improv show in the world.\u00a0\u00a0Armed with only their wits, this comedic duo are literally doing a high wire act every night on stage.\u00a0\u00a0 Is it any wonder that\u00a0Colin and Brad had the honor of headlining at the White House Correspondent\u2019s Dinner.<\/p>\n

Colin has been a TV staple for nearly two decades, starring alongside Ryan Stiles and Wayne Brady in\u00a0Whose Line Is It Anyway?\u00a0<\/em>which is one of the\u00a0<\/em>television\u2019s\u00a0<\/em>longest running series and which just concluded its final season.<\/p>\n

And if that is not enough, Colin can be found touring the country with\u00a0Master Hypnotist Asad Mecci in their show\u00a0H<\/em>YPROV: IMPROV UNDER HYPNOSIS,\u00a0<\/em>which\u00a0last year played\u00a0an\u00a0Off-Broadway engagement to rave reviews.<\/p>\n

Colin Mochrie, who is one of the most renowned improv artists today, is currently performing his acclaimed show\u00a0H<\/em>YPROV: Improv Under Hypnosis\u00a0<\/em>with\u00a0Master Hypnotist Asad Mecci off-Broadway at the Daryl Roth Theatre.<\/p>\n

Recognized for phenomenal success on stage, Colin and\u00a0Whose Line\u2019s\u00a0<\/em>Brad Sherwood celebrated the 20th<\/sup>\u00a0anniversary of their\u00a0Scared Scriptless\u00a0<\/em>tour last year. \u00a0They\u2019ve been recognized for having the longest running improv tour show in history and even had the honor of headlining at the White House Correspondent\u2019s Dinner.\u00a0 \u00a0It is no wonder that\u00a0Colin was honored alongside comedienne Andrea Martin with the inaugural\u00a0recipients of Canada\u2019s\u00a0John Candy Award<\/em>\u00a0for Excellence in Comedy.<\/p>\n

Colin has built a massive following co-starring on the hysterical series,\u00a0Whose Line Is It Anyway?\u00a0<\/em>which was just picked up for its 19th<\/sup>\u00a0season making\u00a0Whose Line\u00a0<\/em>one of the longest running comedy shows on television. \u00a0\u00a0\u00a0Colin and\u00a0<\/em>co-stars Wayne Brady and Ryan Stiles, along with host Aisha Taylor\u2019s have entertained generations of fans for almost two decades with their hilarious banter while playing incredible spontaneous improv games.\u00a0 Colin was also a regular for nine years on the British version of\u00a0Whose Line Is It Anyway?<\/em><\/p>\n

Most recently,\u00a0\u00a0Colin reprised his role as\u00a0<\/em>private investigator Ralph Fellows in the Canadian mystery\/crime drama\u00a0The Murdoch Mysteries<\/em>\u00a0which airs on the\u00a0Ovation Channel in the U.S and starred\u00a0in Amazon\u2019s\u00a0LOL: Last One Laughing Canada<\/em>\u00a0where he took home first prize in the competitive series\u00a0and has a cameo role in the\u00a0Kids In The Hall<\/em>\u00a0which also aired on Amazon.\u00a0\u00a0Colin can currently be seen in the indie film comedy\u00a0The End of Sex<\/em>\u00a0 which just had its premiere at the 2022 Toronto International Film Festival.<\/p>\n

Previously, Colin co-starred in\u00a0CBC\u2019s TV movie\u00a0A Christmas Letter,<\/em>\u00a0the theatrical\u00a0film\u00a0Boys vs. Girls<\/em>\u00a0opposite Kevin McDonald and was a featured in the documentary\u00a0Act Social<\/em>\u00a0about the healing potential of applied improvisation. And earlier this year, Colin received a\u00a0Canadian Screen Award nomination for Best Lead Performance\u00a0<\/em>for his role in the webcast\u00a0Mass Hysterical: A Comedic Cantata.<\/em><\/p>\n

Colin also authored\u00a0Not Quite the Classics<\/em>, published by Viking Books where he\u00a0takes the first and last lines from familiar classics and reimagines everything in between, taking the reader in bizarre and hilarious new directions.<\/p>\n

An alumnus of Toronto\u2019s famous Second City troupe and life-long resident of Canada,\u00a0he and his wife,\u00a0actress and comedian,\u00a0Debra McGrath, also enjoy performing their own improv shows throughout the Canada.\u00a0 They are also proud parents of their daughter Kinley who is transgender and have become supporters of Welcome Friend Association’s Rainbow Camp\u00a0which provides for LBGTQ teens.<\/p>\n
