Allentown, PA (March 7, 2016)<\/strong> \u00a0\u00a0William Allen High School\u2019s Studio Dance Academy will present its Annual Dance Concert March 10 and 11 at 7:00 p.m. in the school\u2019s Dr. John F. McHugh Auditorium. Tickets are $10 at the door. Advance tickets can be purchased in the school\u2019s Main Office for $8\/adults and $5\/students with ID.<\/p>\n

This year\u2019s concert is entitled \u201cPoetic Movement\u201d and each dance piece was developed based on a poem selected by a Dance Academy member. The concert is a collaboration between the 14 students and Dawn Blanco, Director of the Studio Dance Academy.\u00a0Together they developed the choreographic plans that bring the poetry to life through movement.<\/p>\n

In addition to the Studio Dance Academy performances, the Dance Concepts Class will perform a piece in the concert.\u00a0 The William Allen Theatre Department will perform a \u201csneak peak\u201d from their spring production of West Side Story<\/em>.<\/p>\n

The Dr. John F. McHugh Auditorium at William Allen High School is located at 106 North 17th Street, Allentown.<\/p>\n
