{"id":123164,"date":"2023-09-29T21:22:02","date_gmt":"2023-09-30T01:22:02","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.thevalleyledger.com\/?p=123164"},"modified":"2023-09-29T21:22:02","modified_gmt":"2023-09-30T01:22:02","slug":"ballot-on-demand-voting-for-the-november-7th-municipal-election","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.thevalleyledger.com\/?p=123164","title":{"rendered":"Ballot-On-Demand Voting for the November 7th Municipal Election"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The Northampton County Elections Office announces that Ballot-on-Demand voting for the November 7th Municipal Election will be available starting Monday, October 2, 2023.<\/p>\n<p>Citizens can vote in person at the Government Center at 669 Washington Street, Easton, PA 18042, on the following dates:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Monday, October 2 \u2013 Friday, October 13 (8:30 am \u2013 4:30 pm)<\/li>\n<li>Monday, October 16 &#8211; Monday, October 30 (8:30 am &#8211; 6:00 pm)<\/li>\n<li>Saturday, October 22 &amp; Saturday, October 28 (from 9:00 am \u2013 12:00 pm)<\/li>\n<li>The LAST day will be Tuesday, October 31 (8:30 am &#8211; 5:00 pm)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Residents of Northampton County who are eligible to vote can come to the Elections Office, register if they still need to, fill out a ballot application, vote on a paper ballot, and turn it in all in the same visit. You must bring valid ID with you to the Elections Office to receive your ballot.<\/p>\n<p>Registered voters who have already applied for a mail-in ballot\u00a0ARE NOT ELIGIBLE\u00a0for Ballot-on-Demand and must wait to receive their ballot in the mail.<\/p>\n<p>Mail-in ballots must meet the following criteria to be counted:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>The ballot is enclosed in the yellow secrecy envelope and sealed.<\/li>\n<li>There are\u00a0NO\u00a0identifying marks or symbols on the secrecy envelope.<\/li>\n<li>The return envelope is signed and dated on the back in the appropriate\u00a0YELLOW\u00a0boxes.<\/li>\n<li>The ballot is returned to the Election\u2019s Office\u00a0NO LATER THAN\u00a08:00 p.m. on Tuesday, November 7th.
