Robert Freeman said $469,000 in funding from the PA Department of Conservation and Natural Resources has been awarded to two parks in Northampton County.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThese grants show the importance of improved and accessible recreational spaces in our communities,\u201d Freeman said. \u201cParks, trails and other green spaces offer relaxation and locations for people to enjoy either alone or with friends and family.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Frankel said Wilson Borough will receive $250,000 to rehabilitate and further develop Meuser Park, including\u00a0renovating the tennis courts and parking area, building pedestrian walkways, installing fencing, making the park accessible to people with disabilities, landscaping, and other related site improvements.<\/p>\n<p>Hellertown Borough will use its $219,000 to rehabilitate and further develop Reinhard\u2019s Park.
