LVH\u2013Cedar Crest named a top teaching hospital for outstanding quality and safety<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n

Lehigh Valley, Pa. (Dec. 5, 2023) – Lehigh Valley Hospital (LVH)\u2013Cedar Crest is receiving national recognition for providing safe, high-quality care and is named a Top Teaching Hospital by The Leapfrog Group, a national safety watchdog organization.<\/p>\n

The Top Hospital Designation is among the most competitive awards American hospitals can receive, and each recipient must meet The Leapfrog Group\u2019s strict standards for care defined by the 2023 Top Hospital methodology. This includes metrics for infection rates, practices for safer surgery, maternity care and the hospital\u2019s capacity to prevent medication errors. Hospitals must also receive an \u201cA\u201d for patient safety from The Leapfrog Group for fall 2023.<\/p>\n
