Bowling Alley has been a Community Fixture since 1958 and Unity\u2019s Financing Package is evidence of the Unity\u2019s commitment to supporting Easton Area Businesses<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n

EASTON, Pa., December 27, 2023 \u2013\u00a0Tom and Michael Meischeid of Palmer Township have purchased\u00a0Bar-Don Lanes<\/a>\u00a0with the assistance of financing from\u00a0Unity Bank<\/a>. The Nicholas Street bowling alley, a popular fixture in the community since 1958, also includes an arcade, billiard and the recently renamed Rip\u2019s Pub.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe learned the owner was selling and was hoping the property would continue to be operated as a bowling alley,\u201d said Tom. \u201cMichael had worked at the alley when he was a high school student at Notre Dame. Michael displayed his talent for bowling when he threw his first 300 game at Bar-Don in the Junior bowling program. We thought preserving the alley for the community would be a good family business and fulfill the previous owner\u2019s wish and the new owner’s dream.\u201d<\/p>\n
