New additions to the exhibition include never-before-seen pieces and a digital component.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n

BETHLEHEM, Pa. (January 18, 2024)\u00a0\u2013 Since June 2023,\u00a0Unspun: Stories of Silk,\u00a0Historic Bethlehem Museums & Sites\u2019 (HBMS) exhibition, has been telling the fascinating story of silk in the Lehigh Valley. Starting with the attic cocooneries of Moravian Bethlehem, the exhibition detailed the region\u2019s rise in the industry and looked at silk\u2019s impact on fashion and the global marketplace. Due to overwhelming popularity, the exhibition has been extended until April 28, 2024.<\/p>\n

The collection comprises special objects, beautiful garments, and fascinating individual narratives from both the past and present. Three museums are participating in the exhibition, the\u00a0Moravian Museum of Bethlehem<\/a>, the\u00a0Kemerer Museum of Decorative Arts<\/a>, and the\u00a0National Museum of Industrial History<\/a>\u00a0(NMIH). An expanded digital exhibition companion has been added since the opening, which features a selection of photographs from the\u00a0Industrial Archives & Library<\/a>\u00a0and additional content related to the exhibition.<\/p>\n
