The independent bookstore had a soft opening on 11\/30\/2013 and then held their Grand Opening on the first Saturday in February in cooperation with the Emmaus Arts Commission Winter Arts Festival, SnowBlast.<\/p>\n<p>10 years later, the bookstore has provided over $115,000 worth of free author visits to area schools, including a visit from Jeff Kinney during the height of the pandemic, to a sold-out, drive-through crowd at Eyer Middle School. Averaging over 100 events a year, the bookstore has become a staple of the Lehigh Valley. In 2019, Let\u2019s Play Books Co. founded the Lehigh Valley Book Festival and in June of 2023, opened a second bookstore, The End: a bookstore, in South Whitehall Township.<\/p>\n<p>The bookstore is celebrating with two \u201ctoasts\u201d to community members: a 10% off sale, and a silent auction full of fabulous bookish items, including a set of signed, first edition Michael Connelly novels donated by a special patron.\u00a0 The bookstore is also asking for community input as they make some tough decisions about the future.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Event Details<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Saturday, February 3: Toast at 11am, and again at 2pm\u2013with CAKE!<\/p>\n<p>244 Main St. Emmaus, PA 18049<\/p>\n<p>The silent auction and sale will take place Saturday 2\/3 and Sunday 2\/4<\/p>\n<p><strong>Upcoming Author Visits<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Kacen Callendar, February 6 at The End: a bookstore (6pm &#8211; ticketed)<\/p>\n<p>A.F.
