Ryan Mackenzie (R-Lehigh) announced today.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI am pleased we\u00a0are able to\u00a0provide these state grants to help our local fire and ambulance companies as they so bravely serve our community\u00a0when emergencies occur,\u201d\u00a0said Mackenzie.\u00a0\u201cI am\u00a0thankful for everything our\u00a0dedicated\u00a0first responders do for us and, while this\u00a0funding\u00a0is helpful, I am going to continue to fight for increased support to help them continue their great work.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The ongoing funding program was created by the General Assembly. All grants are generated from slot machine gaming proceeds, and not General Fund tax revenue.<\/p>\n<p>The local grants are as follows:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Citizens Fire Company No. 1 Inc. &#8211; $13,451.<\/li>\n<li>Community Fire Company of New Tripoli &#8211; $16,952.<\/li>\n<li>Fogelsville Volunteer Fire Co. &#8211; $14,229.<\/li>\n<li>Good Will Fire Co. No. 1 of Trexlertown &#8211; $16,368.<\/li>\n<li>Goodwill Fire Co.
