National Search is Underway to Find Successor<\/strong><\/p>\n

Bethlehem, Pa. \u2013 February 27, 2024 \u2013 Lehigh Valley Public Media Chief Executive Officer Tim Fallon will be moving into a new role as CEO Emeritus effective April 1, 2024, after having served as CEO of the organization for 12 years. Fallon celebrated 25 years with Lehigh Valley Public Media last year having first joined the staff in 2009 after serving as board chair (2000- 2002) and a member of the Board of Directors since 1997. He expressed to the board in January his desire to step away from the day-to-day operations of the organization, while continuing to contribute in this new capacity.<\/p>\n

\u201cOver the years, I\u2019ve been passionate about keeping our community informed, connected and engaged,\u201d said Fallon. \u201cI am very grateful to have had the opportunity to serve the community and want to thank our dedicated staff, donors, and partners for their continued strong support. As I prepare to step aside as CEO, I look forward to continuing to advance our organization\u2019s mission as we bring in new leadership.\u201d<\/p>\n

Fallon first joined LVPM\u2019s staff as the project director responsible for the development and construction of the $23 million Univest Public Media Center, which opened in 2011 on the SteelStacks campus in Bethlehem. As CEO, he led the negotiation to secure $82 million in proceeds from the FCC spectrum auction for the nonprofit organization\u2019s endowment. During his tenure, LVPM developed and deployed educational resources that have impacted thousands of students and educators in the region through television programming, outreach services, and other special initiatives and events. Most recently he spearheaded LVPM\u2019s initial transformation into the digital space with the successful launch of LehighValleyNews.com<\/u> in October 2022.<\/p>\n

\u201cTim has led Lehigh Valley Public Media through an era of tremendous growth and his impact has been felt across the region,\u201d said Mike Keim, Chair of LVPM\u2019s Board of Directors. \u201cWe are grateful for his years of service and community leadership and look forward to his valuable contributions in this new role while continuing as a member of our board.\u201d<\/p>\n

As CEO Emeritus, Fallon will serve as an ambassador for the organization through his involvement in the community and engagement with major donors, corporate supporters,<\/p>\n

foundations, and federal\/state government officials. He will also continue to be on LVPM\u2019s Board of Directors, with his current term slated to conclude in January 2027.<\/p>\n

Under Fallon\u2019s leadership, Lehigh Valley Public Media has made significant progress on its vision to make the Lehigh Valley better tomorrow than it is today.<\/p>\n

\u201cUnder Tim\u2019s leadership, Lehigh Valley Public Media established a new home with the construction of the Univest Public Media Center, and he has laid a strong foundation for our organization\u2019s digital transformation in a constantly changing public media space,\u201d said Keim. \u201cWe thank Tim for his leadership and for taking on this emeritus role to ensure a smooth transition as we conduct a national search for his replacement.\u201d<\/p>\n
