Bethlehem, PA – March 12, 2024 \u2013\u00a0ArtsQuest<\/a>\u00a0is excited to announce the SLASH \u2013 S.E.R.P.E.N.T. Festival with Slash, ZZ Ward, Robert Randolph and a fourth performer (to be announced), as the next Musikfest headliner on the Wind Creek Steel Stage on Monday, August 5. This Musikfest headliner is presented with media partner 99.9 The Hawk.<\/p>\n

Ticket access begins Wednesday, March 13 at 10 a.m. for ArtsQuest Members and Friday, March 15 at 10 a.m. for the general public at\u00a0Musikfest.org<\/a>. Ticket prices range from $30 to $100. Steel Terrace tickets including dinner, drinks and dessert at private tables under a covered tent will also be available. Slash is bringing his brand-new SLASH – S.E.R.P.E.N.T. Festival to cities across the U.S. throughout 2024. S.E.R.P.E.N.T. stands for Solidarity, Engagement, Restore, Peace, Equality N\u2019 Tolerance. The festival is a celebration of the blues, featuring an all-star line-up that will vary.<\/p>\n

Slash, the GRAMMY-winning, world-renowned rock guitarist who has played in Guns N\u2019Roses and Velvet Revolver, as well as his own groups Slash\u2019s Snakepit and Slash Ft. Myles Kennedy & the Conspirators, has released five solo albums overall, and now six with\u00a0Orgy of the Damned.<\/em>\u00a0After landing on the top of the charts with his first solo album\u00a0Slash<\/em>\u00a0(2010), which featured Ozzy Osbourne, Chris Cornell, Fergie, Myles Kennedy, Iggy Pop, Beth Hart and more on vocals, he formed the solo band Slash Ft. Myles Kennedy & the Conspirators who have been touring worldwide and making music together non-stop for over a decade. Slash Ft. Myles Kennedy & The Conspirators have released four albums, including 2022s\u00a04<\/em>, which arrived via Gibson Records and debuted as the #1-selling hard rock album of the week of release. Over the years, Slash has amassed album sales of over 100 million copies, was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame with Guns N\u2019 Roses in 2012 and was named #2 on TIME\u2019s \u201cThe 10 Greatest Electric Guitar players\u201d after Jimi Hendrix. He rejoined Guns N\u2019 Roses in 2016 for a historic and ongoing world tour and is in the midst of a global tour with his group Slash Ft. Myles Kennedy & The Conspirators.<\/p>\n

A great cover takes something old and makes it new again. This is the philosophy behind Slash\u2019s new album,\u00a0Orgy of the Damned<\/em>, a collection of 12 dynamic songs that shakes up and revitalized blues classics with a stripped down, instinctive approach. Working in a similar way to his 2010 self-titled solo LP Slash, which featured multiple guest vocalists, the acclaimed guitarist teamed up with numerous musicians and singers to create a singular expression that pays homage to the blues. By celebrating both well-known and largely undiscovered songs, Slash offers a nostalgic nod to the past while reinvigorating the songs with his inimitable guitar playing and the spirit of collaboration.<\/p>\n

The SLASH S.E.R.P.E.N.T. Festival tour\u00a0will donate a portion of the proceeds of each ticket sold to The Equal Justice Initiative, Know Your Rights Camp, The Greening Institute and War Child Charities.<\/p>\n

A record-breaking 1,330,000 people attended Musikfest in 2023. The 11-day festival featured over 500 free performances, across 16 stages located throughout the City of Bethlehem. The 41st<\/sup>\u00a0Musikfest is scheduled for Aug. 2 \u2013 11, 2024, with a special preview night on Aug. 1.
