{"id":129287,"date":"2024-04-08T19:41:01","date_gmt":"2024-04-08T23:41:01","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.thevalleyledger.com\/?p=129287"},"modified":"2024-04-08T19:41:01","modified_gmt":"2024-04-08T23:41:01","slug":"western-lehigh-chamber-presents-the-4th-annual-paws-at-the-park","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.thevalleyledger.com\/?p=129287","title":{"rendered":"Western Lehigh Chamber presents the 4th Annual Paws at the Park!"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The Western Lehigh Chamber of Commerce, proud partners of the Greater Lehigh Valley Chamber of Commerce, is thrilled to present the 4<sup>th<\/sup>\u00a0Annual Paws at the Park, a pet-friendly community festival, on Sunday May 5<sup>th<\/sup>\u00a0in Upper Macungie\u2019s Grange Park!<\/p>\n<p>This one-of-a-kind event is jam packed with fun for the entire family! The day\u2019s schedule kicks off with a special visit from characters like Bluey and Chase from Paw Patrol and will continue with pet demonstrations as well as pet contests for categories like \u2018best trick\u2019, \u2018loudest bark\u2019 and \u2018best dressed\u2019. Sign-ups for these pet contests will be held the day of the event.<\/p>\n<p>Not only will this event feature lots of entertainment throughout the day, but it will also include 25+ pet related businesses and vendors for the community to shop and interact with. Purina, located in South Whitehall Township, will be one of the many businesses attending this event. When asked about their involvement Debra Petrecz, Associate Manager for Nestle Purina stated, \u201c(Our company) is excited to be part of the Paws at the Park event again this year to help support community programs and animal non- profits right here in our backyard\u201d.<\/p>\n<p>Local vendors are just part of the fun scheduled for this paw-some event! Popular food trucks like Bodega Bistro, Bubba\u2019s Curbside Cravings, and The Udder Bar will be in attendance along with drink vendors like Rising River Brewing, Sleepy Cat Winery, and Eight Oaks Distillery; so come hungry and plan to stay a while!<\/p>\n<p>One of the most rewarding parts of this event each year is the opportunity to raise funds to support a local animal-based non-profit organization within the Western Lehigh region. This year, the chosen beneficiary is S.O.A.R (Starting Over Animal Rescue), whose mission is to \u201chelp facilitate high quality affordable spay\/neuter for feral, stray, and house pets and to provide shelter to abused, neglected, and abandoned animals.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The center pavilion at this event will be filled with over 30+ raffle prizes of which all of the proceeds will go back S.O.A.R to support their mission! Hayden Rinde, Assistant Vice President of the Western Lehigh Chamber commented, \u201cOf the many events I have the pleasure of planning with my boards, this one is one of my favorites!
