McClure announces.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cNorthampton County is doubling down on training. I\u2019ve ordered Northampton County Emergency Management Services to intensify train derailment mitigation training. We must ensure we are ready and equipped to respond to any accident,\u201d says Lamont G. McClure. \u201cWhile holding railways accountable, it is more important than ever that all emergency managements in our region become educated about the dangers and hazards of rail cars carrying dangerous materials.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Participation in these courses will help first responders understand how to respond to train derailments in our community.<\/p>\n<p>Norfolk Southern Rail Safety Training\u00a0will include the following topics:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Safety around the railroad<\/li>\n<li>Understanding rail shipping documents<\/li>\n<li>Tank car identification<\/li>\n<li>Locomotive emergencies<\/li>\n<li>Responding to Railroad Emergencies<\/li>\n<li>AskRail Mobile App<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Responders and Emergency Management Personnel can register by emailing Mike Rampulla at\u00a0<a href=\"mailto:mrampulla@ncempa.org\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">mrampulla@ncempa.org<\/a>, or by phone 610-746-3194 X3229.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>WHO<\/strong>: County Executive Lamont G.
