{"id":130991,"date":"2024-05-23T21:44:51","date_gmt":"2024-05-24T01:44:51","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.thevalleyledger.com\/?p=130991"},"modified":"2024-05-23T21:44:51","modified_gmt":"2024-05-24T01:44:51","slug":"kidspeace-communications-creative-services-efforts-again-win-national-recognition-2","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.thevalleyledger.com\/?p=130991","title":{"rendered":"KidsPeace Communications\/Creative Services Efforts Again Win National Recognition"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>SCHNECKSVILLE, PA (May 23, 2024)<\/strong>\u00a0\u2013 KidsPeace announced that efforts from its Communications\/Creative Services function have won\u00a0<strong>top honors in two national marketing and advertising competitions for 2023<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>The pieces received Gold Awards in both the\u00a0<strong>41<sup>st<\/sup>\u00a0annual Healthcare Advertising Awards<\/strong>\u00a0and the\u00a0<strong>23rd Annual Aster Awards<\/strong>\u00a0competitions &#8211; giving the KidsPeace function\u00a0<strong>top honors in\u00a0<u>four<\/u>\u00a0such national competitions since 2020<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>In the Aster Awards competition, KidsPeace received Gold Award recognition for four of its entries:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>The organization\u2019s\u00a0<strong>2022 Annual Report<\/strong>, which used the metaphor of the creation of \u201csea glass\u201d to highlight the transformative potential of programs for youth facing mental health challenges, while detailing KidsPeace\u2019s clinical and financial performance during the year<\/li>\n<li><strong>A promotional mailer for summertime referrals<\/strong>\u00a0to KidsPeace Children\u2019s Hospital, also based on the \u201csea glass transformation\u201d theme<\/li>\n<li>The\u00a0<strong>Fall\/Winter 2023 edition of KidsPeace\u2019s\u00a0<em>Healing Magazine<\/em><\/strong>, featuring a special section on the post-pandemic evolution of the mental healthcare workforce<\/li>\n<li><strong><em>Rob\u2019s Story<\/em><\/strong><strong>,<\/strong>\u00a0<strong>an installment of the video series\u00a0<em>KidsPeace Stories<\/em><\/strong>\u00a0(<a href=\"http:\/\/www.kidspeace.org\/robs-story\" data-saferedirecturl=\"https:\/\/www.google.com\/url?q=http:\/\/www.kidspeace.org\/robs-story&amp;source=gmail&amp;ust=1716599125021000&amp;usg=AOvVaw0Bw00WFGbIuVxD5PYgaAQ4\">www.kidspeace.org\/robs-story<\/a>), which featured a longtime employee\u2019s championing of mountain biking as an element in helping youth in programming at the KidsPeace Orchard Hills Campus develop an appreciation for bicycle engineering, nature and physical fitness.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>The\u00a0<em>Rob\u2019s Story<\/em>\u00a0video also earned Gold Award recognition In the Healthcare Advertising Awards, as did the Web-enabled presentation of the 2022 Annual Report for the KidsPeace website.\u00a0 The print version of the annual report and the summer referral mailer won Silver Awards in the HAA competition, which describes itself as \u201cthe oldest, largest and most widely respected\u201d program of its kind.<\/p>\n<p>All the entries were conceived, designed and executed by KidsPeace\u2019s Communications \/ Creative Services team, based at the organization\u2019s administrative offices in Schnecksville, PA.\u00a0 The team includes\u00a0<strong>Robert Martin<\/strong>, KidsPeace\u2019s director of communications and engagement;\u00a0<strong>Shawn Parker<\/strong>, manager of creative services; and\u00a0<strong>Robbie Allred<\/strong>, web\/video producer.<\/p>\n<p>Martin thanked leadership at KidsPeace for supporting the team\u2019s efforts to raise the profile and reputation of the organization among key stakeholder groups. \u201cWhat we do, in simplest terms, is tell stories about our programs, our associates and our kids and their successes in overcoming the challenges they face.\u00a0 It\u2019s satisfying to receive recognition from our peers in the marketing and advertising field, but it also motivates us to continue to tell these stories so that KidsPeace and its people get the recognition THEY deserve,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n<p><em>Since 1882, KidsPeace has been building on its expertise to give hope, help and healing to children, adults and those who love them.
