There are 600 new friends waiting to meet you!<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n

Bethlehem, PA \u2013 May 23, 2024 <\/strong>– The Celtic Cultural Alliance (CCA) is pleased to announce that the Celtic Classic volunteer system is live. CCA offers a unique scheduling opportunity to its volunteers. Once volunteers set up their account online, they are able to create their own schedule. Volunteers choose the job, date and time they want to work.<\/p>\n

CCA is looking for 600 volunteers to fill jobs such as: festival set up & tear down, retail merchandise tent coordinators, VIP Tent staff, office assistance, volunteer check in and more. And of course, beer tappers! Many jobs are available for students to earn community service hours.<\/p>\n

Charitable organizations and other groups & teams can fundraise at the Celtic Classic. <\/em><\/strong>In a continued effort to support the local community, CCA is offering opportunities such as parking lot attendants, bartenders, and cashier positions for fundraising groups to gain visibility and donations at the Celtic Classic. Opportunities require as few as three volunteers or as many as 15. Contact the CCA office for details. These opportunities fill quickly.<\/p>\n

The CCA is gearing up for the 37th<\/sup> presentation of the Celtic Classic Highland Games & Festival, September 27th<\/sup> \u2013 September 29th<\/sup>.<\/p>\n

About the Celtic Cultural Alliance<\/strong><\/p>\n

On Columbus Day weekend in 1988, the first Celtic Classic was presented by a small group of individuals. The goal of this dedicated group was to create an event that symbolized the Celtic spirit and history, and to provide the impetus for an organization that focused on promoting the Celtic culture. This group has now evolved into Celtic Cultural Alliance to better communicate the overall goals of the organization.<\/p>\n

The CCA has expanded with year-round programming to support the mission of promoting and preserving Celtic Culture through arts, music, literature, dance, and history programs. In keeping with the spirit of \u201cNext Generation\u201d, the CCA also offers scholarships to promising young students of the Celtic Arts. These yearly scholarships are offered to students of the arts, including Irish Step Dance, Highland Dance, Fiddle, and Bagpipes.<\/p>\n

The Celtic Classic has blossomed into one of the largest Highland Games and Celtic Festivals in North America. Annually, over 200,000 visitors come to Historic Bethlehem to join in this celebration of all things Celtic. The organization has expanded into year-round programs. Our educational programming has expanded to include community outreach events in area school districts, religious institutions, local theaters and colleges throughout the Lehigh Valley. A series of scholarships are awarded each year in varied areas of Celtic culture.<\/p>\n
