Saturday, June 29th<\/sup>\u00a0event will feature music, food, presentation and more<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n

Allentown, PA (June 7, 2024) \u2013<\/strong>\u00a0Dorney Park & Wildwater Kingdom\u2019s historic 2024 season just got more exciting!<\/p>\n

On Friday, the park announced they will host the Thunderhawk roller coaster\u2019s 100th<\/sup>\u00a0Anniversary Celebration on Saturday, June 29th<\/sup>.<\/p>\n

The all-day event included with admission will feature a special ceremony, music, food, a pop-up history museum, special guests, photo ops, and more.<\/p>\n

Details and a schedule of events will be released as the event gets closer.<\/p>\n

For now, guests can find information at\u00a0dorneypark.com<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Originally, named the \u2018Coaster\u2019, Thunderhawk was built in 1924 as an out-and-back roller coaster featuring little more than a drop and return. Over the years it has been renamed and reconfigured into the ride guests can enjoy today.<\/p>\n

\u201cThunderhawk is a national landmark and an integral part of our park\u2019s history,\u201d said Dorney Park Vice President and General Manager Jessica Naderman. \u201cWe are proud of the generations of men and women who have preserved this roller coaster over the years, and we\u2019re excited to celebrate its centennial.\u201d<\/p>\n

In addition to the celebration, Thunderhawk will also sport special decals and signage for the 100th<\/sup>\u00a0celebration.<\/p>\n

To ride Thunderhawk all season long guests are encouraged to purchase\u00a0silver passes, now available online for unlimited access to the park, Wildwater Kingdom, live shows and events.
