New Tripoli, Pa. <\/span>\u2014 The Northwestern Lehigh Firefighter Foundation will host it\u2019s inaugural Firefighter Appreciation Picnic on June 30th, 2024 from 1-5 PM in Ontelaunee Park (7344 Kings Hwy, New Tripoli, Pennsylvania<\/a>). Founded in 2023, the Foundation works with the Northwestern Lehigh community \u201cto raise awareness, appreciation, and resources to support\u00a0 the volunteer firefighters and those injured or fallen in the line of duty.\u201d\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cRescheduled because of rain in May, Sunday\u2019s event aims to hit all three of our foundation pillars of our mission,\u201d said Kylie Adams-Weiss, one of the founding members of the Northwestern Lehigh Firefighter Foundation Board of Directors. \u201cWe will first and foremost aim to show our appreciation to our local fire departments, but also raise awareness and funds through various fundraisers at the event. A portion of proceeds from activities and food trucks will benefit the departments and the foundation, while we will also aim to celebrate the men and women who make up the great departments in our area. We\u2019re looking forward to a fun day with our community!\u201d\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Thanks to generous sponsors and the Foundation, firefighters of the Northwestern Lehigh Community (volunteers from the Germansville, Lynnport, New Tripoli and Weisenberg Fire Departments) will enjoy the afternoon free of charge.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

The event will feature live music from the The Highway Run Band, activities like a rock climbing wall and cornhole, fundraising efforts including a 50\/50, Grand Prize Raffle and Basket Raffle, and great food from local food trucks!\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n
