I was able to speak briefly with the drummer, Paul Cooper after the show. I asked why they picked Zeppelin to cover. He said, “I grew up going to see Zeppelin, and love the music.” Led Zeppelin is an iconic band. Songs that you know as soon as the first note starts playing. Robert Plant, Jimmy Page, John Bonham, John Paul Jones…

I can’t imagine being onstage performing songs like, “Black Dog”, “Rock and Roll”, “Immigrant Song”, and of course, the cover band is called, KASHMIR, they played, “Kashmir.” The show was sold-out and rescheduled from January. A pesky Pennsylvania snow storm prevented the band from playing in January so they brought some extra heat to Bethlehem with some incredible performances.

My friend and I had a blast singing along, they also serve food and drinks so, if you don’t get dinner made or you don’t get to stop some place for dinner, the Musikfest Café has you covered. During KASHMIR’s show, they also had bands playing outside at the Levitt Pavilion. It was a beautiful day, and there is always something to do at ArtsQuest.

KASHMIR is made up of Jean Violet, the founder and lead vocalist. The vocals are INCREDIBLE. Jean Violet is singing his ass off. Kevin Slover is an amazing guitar player, and let’s take a moment to talk about the bass player, and the drummer who proceeded to do his solo by ditching his drum sticks and using his hands while having everyone in Musikfest Café clap along. You talk about a POWERFUL DRUM CIRCLE. The bass player, Lenny Lee was kind and signing stuff after the show with his band mates. My friend and I made a bunch of friends, we met a woman was excited for her son to show them the shirt and items they signed for him at the last show.

It’s more than a cover band though. They put a lot of work in. You can feel the love, and passion they have for performing, and engaging with the fans. People were singing along, so excited just to feel those feelings you take on at a concert. It made you feel like you jumped in a time machine, and got to see what we missed at certain concerts. Some people have been able to see Led Zeppelin live in concert, and that is beyond awesome. But, seeing KASHMIR, and feeling all the love they put into the show was so satisfying. Jean was singing his ass off, the band was playing and playing. They came back and did one last song after the “one more song” chant started.

It’s always a great time at Musikfest Café. The volunteers, and the staff, security, the waiters, and waitresses. The bartenders. Every single person does an amazing job.

https://www.artsquest.org/

https://ledzeppelintribute.com/

https://www.facebook.com/kashmirrocks/

MUSIKFEST STARTS August 1st until August 11th.

https://www.musikfest.org/

Review By Janel Spiegel KASHMIR: Classic Zeppelin Live Saturday, July 13, 2024 at 8:00PM Musikfest Café 101 Founders Way Bethlehem, PA 18015 Musikfest Café was rocking on Saturday night as … Continue reading KASHMIR: Classic Zeppelin Live | Review By Janel Spiegel →

"_jetpack_memberships_contains_paid_content":false
[69

post-132765","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","has-post-thumbnail","hentry","category-in-the-valley
