Hospital ranks among top 20 in the country for orthopedics and <\/em>top 40 for pulmonology and lung surgery.<\/em><\/p>\n

Lehigh Valley, Pa. (July 16, 2024) –\u00a0Lehigh Valley Hospital (LVH) is one of the top hospitals in the country for orthopedic and pulmonary and critical care according to the 2024-2025 U.S. News & World Report Best Hospitals list.<\/p>\n

U.S. News ranks LVH among the top 20 hospitals in the nation for orthopedics and 40th for pulmonology and lung surgery.<\/p>\n

LVH also ranks as the top hospital in the region for the 11th consecutive time and sixth among Pennsylvania\u2019s top 10 hospitals.<\/p>\n

Additionally, U.S. News rated LVH as \u201chigh performing\u201d in four specialties and 16 procedures and conditions. Each \u201chigh performing\u201d rating means LVH is considered among the top 10% for that rated specialty.<\/p>\n

U.S. News evaluated nearly 5,000 hospitals across 15 specialties and 20 procedures and conditions. Only 11% of evaluated hospitals earned a Best Hospitals ranking. Hospitals awarded a\u00a0\u201cbest\u201d designation excelled at factors such as clinical outcomes, level of nursing care and patient experience.<\/p>\n

The U.S. News & World Report Best Hospitals rankings rely on information provided to Medicare claims and is not reliant on self-reported data. Additionally, its methodology puts significant focus on evaluating the quality of care provided and considers patient acuity and volumes.<\/p>\n
