DePaolo, Andrew Werner and Josh Pant, left to right, in the renovated office space that gives their accounting firm better visibility and room to grow.)<\/p>\n<p><strong>Wescosville, Pa. \u2013<\/strong> The renovation spirit that has transformed parts of Hamilton Street in Allentown is moving west with the renovation and modernization of one of Wescosville\u2019s most historic landmarks by Werner &#038; Co, Certified Public Accountants.<\/p>\n<p>The growing firm moved into the former Lutheran Synod building &#8212; the tallest structure in the village \u2013 on Sept. 1 and will hold an official grand-opening and ribbon-cutting on November 4, 2014, said Managing Partner Kristofer M. DePaolo.<\/p>\n<p>The partners invested about $850,000 between the purchase price and renovation costs of the building.<\/p>\n<p>The historic building, which once served as a town center, was essentially gutted to reveal the classic peaked ceiling and stained glass windows that signify its original use as a church, and the additional open space created by the design from architect Joe Landrigan of Sage Design\/Build of New Tripoli will allow the accounting firm to continue to grow, DePaolo said.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThere is a lot more room than there was before. We went from roughly 1,800 usable square feet to 3,600 and we have an additional 500 square feet of storage downstairs,\u201d DePaolo said. \u201cThis really gives us what we need \u2013 we have a street presence, we are part of the community and we have that room to grow.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIt\u2019s a nice blend of the old and the new,\u201d he continued. \u201cAnd that works well for us. Accounting is an old business but we use new technology to get the done.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The additional space allowed the partners to bring in Express Sign Outlet Inc. as a tenant in the building.<\/p>\n<p>The renovations, which began in April and finished in late August, were also designed to provide maximum energy efficiency for the historic building.  The building is owned by DePaolo, Josh Panto and Andrew Werner all of whom are CPAs.<\/p>\n<p>Werner CPA was founded in 1988 by Andrew Werner and merged with DePaolo and Panto in 2011. It employs seven full-time accountants and administrative staffers and two part-timers.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe will be looking to grow.
