Bethlehem, Lehigh Valley, PA., January 21, 2024 \u2013 Join us for the 12th<\/sup>\u00a0annual SteelStacks Improv Comedy Festival with headliners Standup and Clown along with Improvised Jane Austen this weekend,\u00a0Friday, January 24 and Saturday, January 25.<\/strong><\/p>\n

The\u00a0SteelStacks Improv Comedy Festival<\/a>\u00a0features teams from the Lehigh Valley, NYC, Baltimore, Boston, Toronto and beyond! The marathon-style comedy festival starts at 5:30 p.m. on Friday and 2:45 p.m. on Saturday. Catch each night’s headliners at 9:30 p.m.<\/p>\n

Kick off Saturday with a comedy workshop like no other:\u00a0A Clown\u2019s Guide to Long-form with Chad Damiani<\/a>\u00a0where he breaks the fourth wall and shows you how to create unique formats that can invigorate and elevate the art of long-form. Damiani has spent over a decade using Clown to explore and completely reimagine shows, completely transforming what he presents on stage.<\/p>\n

Experienced improvisers, get your creative juices flowing Saturday and Sunday with some of our improv workshops with Improvised Jane Austen*. Are you passionate about a specific genre of television, film or literature? Improvised Jane Austen will teach you how to identify archetypes, themes and story structures and then show you how to apply these concepts to scene work and long-form improvisation in our\u00a0Exploring Genre and Narrative Improv<\/a>\u00a0workshop on Saturday. Develop character wants that are crucial to great scene work on Sunday at our\u00a0Improvised Jane Austen\u2019s Guide to Character<\/a>\u00a0workshop. Improvised Jane Austen will help you access character wants and find inspiration that will carry you through your scenes and shows.<\/p>\n

*The Improvised Jane Austen workshops are for experienced improvisers who have completed a level 1 improv course or have equivalent experience.<\/strong><\/p>\n

If you\u2019re inspired to give this whole improv thing a try, extend your SteelStacks Improv Comedy Festival experience when you join\u00a0Cindy Marsh for her Improv Drop-in for beginners.<\/a>\u00a0Marsh\u2019s Improv Drop-in for beginners is the perfect place to start your improv journey.
