TREXLERTOWN, Pennsylvania \u2014 Jason Williamson and Matt Ossiander, two local entrepreneurs, have officially acquired Java Joint, a beloved local coffee shop in the heart of Trexlertown. The SBA financing was arranged by Jeff Barber of Lehigh Financial Group, LLC for the acquisition of the business.<\/p>\n
The duo, both Emmaus High School graduates, are excited to tackle this new venture, combining their business expertise with an already strong commitment to community involvement. \u201cThe opportunity kind of came up in October, and we decided to take the plunge and try something new!\u201d said Williamson. The two projected confidence in their first week. \u201cWe felt that together we had a very well-rounded approach to be able to take this on.\u201d<\/p>\n
Java Joint, known for its drive-through model and antique 1950\u2019s charm, is a staple in the Trexlertown community. The local shop prides itself on working with local bakers, producers, and professionals\u2013 an aspect that resonated with its two new owners.<\/p>\n
\u201cWhat\u2019s great about the Java Joint is that it strips away almost everything other than just the product,\u201d Ossiander noted. \u201cIt\u2019s a small, local feel, and we love that it\u2019s so connected with the community.\u201d<\/p>\n
Both seek to honor the legacy built by Betty, who ran the shop for 22 years. \u201cBetty did a lot of the hard work over the years, and we want to expand upon what she\u2019s done,\u201d Williamson explained, earnestly. \u201cShe\u2019s got a great model.\u201d<\/p>\n
Over the next year, Williamson and Ossiander seek to prioritize the efficiency of the operation\u2013 upgrading POS systems, implementing an improved framework for Gift Cards, and expanding their social media presence. \u201cOur key goals are to build our social media interactions, expand onto the web and socials,\u201d said Ossiander.<\/p>\n
The two also confirmed they would be keeping all original staff\u2013 \u201cI love the team here; the staff are fantastic,\u201d said Williamson. \u201cWe couldn\u2019t be happier with how everything is coming together.\u201d<\/p>\n
Jeff was great, said Ossiander. \u201cHe was instrumental in the transaction and came highly recommended. He was always available, even at 9 p.m., which stood out a great deal.\u201d<\/p>\n
Looking ahead, Williamson and Ossiander are excited about the future and the possibilities of expanding Java Joint. \u201cWe\u2019d like to give back to the community where we can,\u201d said Williamson. \u201cIt\u2019s a new little community to kind of get involved in and learn from. We\u2019re really looking forward to getting the ball rolling.\u201d<\/p>\n
