This annual event provides high school students across America with the opportunity to showcase their artistic talent and earn well-deserved recognition for their creative work.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe Congressional Art Competition is a great opportunity for young artists in the Greater Lehigh Valley to share their talents and have their work displayed on a national stage,\u201d\u00a0<strong>said Congressman Mackenzie<\/strong>. \u201cI encourage all eligible students to participate in this competition and represent our community. I look forward to seeing the talent and creativity of our local young artists!\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The winning piece from the competition will be displayed in the U.S. Capitol for one year, where it will be seen by thousands of visitors from across the country. Additional entries may also be recognized and exhibited locally.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Key Dates &amp; Submission Information:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Artwork Submission Drop-Off:<\/strong>\u00a0March 24 \u2013 March 29, 2025<\/li>\n<li><strong>Drop-Off Location:<\/strong>\u00a0The Baum School of Art, 510 W. Linden Street, Allentown, PA 18101<\/li>\n<li><strong>Exhibition Dates:<\/strong>\u00a0April 7 \u2013 April 12, 2025<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Accepted Mediums Include:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Paintings: oil, acrylics, watercolor, etc.<\/li>\n<li>Drawings: colored pencil, pencil, ink, marker, pastels, charcoal<\/li>\n<li>Collages (must be two-dimensional)<\/li>\n<li>Prints: lithographs, silkscreen, block prints<\/li>\n<li>Mixed Media: use of more than two mediums such as pencil, ink, watercolor<\/li>\n<li>Photographs<\/li>\n<li>Computer-generated art<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Teachers and school administrators are encouraged to share this information with students who may be interested in participating.<\/p>\n<p>For more information or any questions regarding the competition, please contact Congressman Mackenzie\u2019s office at 484-781-6000 or the Baum School of Art at 610-433-0032.<\/p>\n<p><strong>About the Congressional Art Competition:<br \/>\n<\/strong> The Congressional Art Competition, established in 1982, is a nationwide event that allows high school students from all 50 states to demonstrate their artistic abilities.
