BETHLEHEM, PA<\/strong>\u00a0–\u00a0This spring, three Northampton Community College (NCC) students and\u00a0one graduate received American Advertising Awards, known as ADDYs, which are sponsored locally by the Greater Lehigh Valley Chapter of the American Advertising Federation (AAF-GLV). Communication design majors,\u00a0Lilla Szilvasi<\/strong>,\u00a0Bella Tallarico<\/strong>\u00a0and\u00a0Madeleine Wolf, and 2024\u00a0<\/strong>communication design graduate\u00a0Christina Balog,\u00a0<\/strong>took home gold and silver in several categories.<\/p>\n

Designs are entered into this three-tier competition consisting of local, district and national awards. The students and alum earned the following for their designs:<\/p>\n

Silver Winner:\u00a0<\/strong>Tallarico\u2019s integrated branding campaign, “The Juicy Goosey\u201d juice truck<\/p>\n

Silver Winner:\u00a0<\/strong>Wolf\u2019s advertising campaign, “Taco Bell After Hours”<\/p>\n

Silver Winner:\u00a0<\/strong>Balog\u2019s animated app promotion, “Roadtrippers”<\/p>\n

Gold Winner and Judges\u2019 Choice Award<\/strong><\/p>\n

Szilvasi\u2019s package design, “Braquar,\u201d for a series of artisanal vinegar flavors.<\/p>\n

The American Advertising Federation of the Greater Lehigh Valley hosted this year’s awards gala at Cedar Crest College. Winners were joined by some of their NCC peers and communication design faculty. The local level is the first step toward winning district and\/or national recognition. As a Gold winner, Szilvasi will automatically advance to districts.<\/p>\n

“On behalf of the entire communication design and art faculty, we want to express how incredibly proud we are of these students and alum. These accomplishments are just one testament to their dedication, hard work, and exceptional talent throughout their time at NCC. Through the program, they’ve not only honed their creativity but also deepened their readiness for the professional industry,\u201d said NCC Art Professor, Sarah Sterner-Hausknecht.<\/p>\n
