It is open to anyone age 18 and older.<\/p>\n<p><strong>RSVP to\u00a0<\/strong><a href=\"mailto:stroke@gsrh.org\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><strong>stroke@gsrh.org<\/strong><\/a><strong>\u00a0or 610-778-9208.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Walk-ins are welcome.<\/p>\n<p>Screenings help identify common stroke risk factors and educate people on cholesterol, high blood pressure or blood sugar, and how to modify life habits.<\/p>\n<p>At the free event, Good Shepherd will offer a variety of stations, including:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Cholesterol and blood sugar screening (fasting is\u00a0<strong>not<\/strong>\u00a0required)<\/li>\n<li>Fall-risk assessments and education on how to decrease your risk of falling<\/li>\n<li>Heart rate and blood pressure screening<\/li>\n<li>Height, weight, body mass index (BMI) and waist-circumference assessment<\/li>\n<li>Nutrition education and complimentary healthy snacks<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Free parking is available.<\/p>\n<p>Stroke Facts<\/p>\n<p>Each year, more than 795,000 people in America have a stroke, according to\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.cdc.gov\/stroke\/facts.htm\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">the CDC<\/a>.
