McClure and the Northampton County Department of Public Works are pleased to announce two Household Document Shredding events exclusively for Northampton County residents. The events will be held on May 3<sup>rd<\/sup>\u00a0and June 28<sup>th<\/sup>\u00a0from 10 AM \u2013 12 PM.<\/p>\n<p>These events provide a safe and secure way for residents to dispose of confidential and sensitive household documents. Shredding will be offered on a first-come, first-served basis. Each resident is limited to three boxes or bags per vehicle, with a 25-pound weight limit per box or bag.<\/p>\n<p>Accepted items include:<\/p>\n<p>Accounting records, canceled checks, pay stubs, financial statements, investment transactions, legal documents, medical records, tax forms, and similar materials.<\/p>\n<p>Unacceptable items include:<\/p>\n<p>Pre-shredded paper, junk mail, magazines, catalogs, photographs, negatives, and X-rays.<\/p>\n<p>Please do not arrive before 10:00 AM to avoid traffic congestion.<\/p>\n<p>On arrival, residents should:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Remain in their vehicles<\/li>\n<li>Unlock vehicle doors or trunks<\/li>\n<li>Ensure that documents are boxed or bagged and easily accessible to staff<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Staples, paper clips, rubber bands, and manila folders are accepted.<\/p>\n<p>Ring binders, metal strips, and plastic sheet protectors or coverings will be returned to the resident.<\/p>\n<p>These shredding events reflect Northampton County\u2019s continued commitment to environmental responsibility and personal data protection.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>For more information, please contact the Northampton County Public Works Department \u2013 Environmental Services Division at 610-829-6332.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Information provided to TVL by:<br \/>\nCounty of Northampton<br \/>\n669 Washington Street<br \/>\nEaston, PA 18042<br \/>\n<a href=\"https:\/\/www.northamptoncounty.org\/\">https:\/\/www.northamptoncounty.org\/<\/a><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Northampton County Announces 2025 Household Document Shredding Events [Northampton County, PA] \u2014\u00a0County Executive Lamont G.
