{"id":142564,"date":"2025-05-15T22:39:51","date_gmt":"2025-05-16T02:39:51","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.thevalleyledger.com\/?p=142564"},"modified":"2025-05-15T22:39:51","modified_gmt":"2025-05-16T02:39:51","slug":"the-northampton-county-elections-office-reminders","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.thevalleyledger.com\/?p=142564","title":{"rendered":"The Northampton County Elections Office Reminders"},"content":{"rendered":"[Northampton County, PA] \u2014\u00a0The Northampton County Elections Office is reminding voters that if they are voting by mail-in or civilian absentee ballot in this month\u2019s Municipal Primary Election, they should return their ballots as soon as possible to either the Elections Office or at a secure drop-box.<\/p>\n<p>To ensure your ballot is counted, the Elections Office reminds voters to carefully follow the instructions included with their ballot. \u201cNaked\u201d ballots\u2014those not enclosed in the inner secrecy envelope\u2014will not be counted. Mail-in ballots will be accepted if:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>The ballot is enclosed in the yellow secrecy envelope and sealed.<\/li>\n<li>There are\u00a0NO\u00a0identifying marks or symbols on the secrecy envelope.<\/li>\n<li>The return envelope is signed and dated on the back in the appropriate YELLOW boxes.<\/li>\n<li>The ballot is returned to the Election\u2019s Office NO LATER THAN 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday, May 20th. USPS postmarks DO NOT count if received after this deadline.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Voters can return their mail-in or absentee ballots:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Directly to the Northampton County Election\u2019s Office at the Government Center: 669 Washington Street, Easton, PA 18042.<\/li>\n<li>At one of the seven secure ballot drop boxes located around the County.
