Make the Road Action in Pennsylvania, Pennsylvania\u2019s largest Latinx organizing group representing more than 14,000 members, has knocked on more than 61,000 doors statewide in Philadelphia, Lehigh, Berks, and Luzerne County to mobilize Latino, Black, and young voters.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Make the Road Action in PA electoral victories:\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><u>Luzerne County:\u00a0<\/u><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Elected to Government Study Commission: Rossana Gabriel<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><u>Philadelphia County:<\/u><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>District Attorney: Larry Krasner<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><u>Lehigh County:\u00a0<\/u><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Allentown City Council: Natalie Santos<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><u>Berks County:<\/u><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Judge, Court of Common Pleas: Eric Taylor<\/li>\n<li>Reading City Council District 1: Vanessa Campos<\/li>\n<li>Reading City Council District 5: Rafael N\u00fa\u00f1ez<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Diana Robinson, Co-Executive Director of Make the Road Action in Pennsylvania, said:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>\u201cWhen candidates lead with values and solutions rather than fear, voters support them. In this primary, Philly voters re-elected DA Larry Krasner, because they saw and felt how second chances and exonerations of the innocent really do make us safer. Hazleton voters voted to take a close look at whether their current form of government really represents them. These victories are reminders that voters are moved by sensible and thoughtful policy that reflects their needs, not intimidation or fear mongering.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The bilingual voter engagement program prioritizes contact with communities of color, and focuses on high-quality conversations with voters, in English and in Spanish, about the issues they\u2019re facing daily.<\/p>\n<p><em>Make the Road Action in PA builds political power rooted in immigrant and working-class communities, promotes progressive policy solutions, and strengthens the movement for justice through electoral and grassroots organizing.
