This year, the program is awarding six scholarships &#8211; valued up to $8,000 each for a total of<\/p>\n<p>$48,000 &#8211; to graduating high school seniors in the states of Pennsylvania, and Virginia to reduce the financial burden of pursuing postsecondary education. Winners are selected based on academic achievement, extracurricular involvement, and critical thinking and writing skills.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cEducation has long been a cornerstone of PSECU\u2019s community support, and this scholarship program reflects our lasting commitment to helping students build brighter futures,\u201d said Karen Rousche, Community Engagement Program Manager at PSECU. \u201cSince 1997, we&#8217;ve awarded more than $1.2 million to exceptional students, and we\u2019re<\/p>\n<p>proud to continue that legacy by supporting this year\u2019s recipients as they take their next steps.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>From the more than 500 pplications PSECU received this year, the following winners were selected:<\/p>\n<p><strong>PSECU Scholarships:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Braeden Quinn, <\/strong>Pennsbury High School, Fairless Hills, PA\n<ul>\n<li>Attending Drexel University<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li><strong>Caleb Bower<\/strong>, Manheim Central High School, Manheim, PA\n<ul>\n<li>Attending University of Pittsburgh<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li><strong>Keira Lozada<\/strong>, Catholic High School, Virginia Beach, VA\n<ul>\n<li>Georgetown University<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>PSECU Frank J. Breiner Memorial Scholarship:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Isabella Feather, Susquehanna Township High School, Harrisburg, PA\n<ul>\n<li>Attending University of Pittsburgh<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>PSECU Michael A. Gottshall Memorial Scholarship:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Christian Smacher, Northern High School, Dillsburg PA\n<ul>\n<li>Attending University of Delaware<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>PSECU John J. Marisic Memorial Scholarship:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Sophia Nightingale, Penn Manor High School, Millersville, PA\n<ul>\n<li>Attending Carnegie Mellon University<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>If scholarship requirements are met, including maintaining a minimum GPA, the winners will receive a $2,000 scholarship every year over the next four years for a total scholarship value of $8,000 per student.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cEvery year, we\u2019re inspired by the talent and potential of the students who apply to our scholarship program,\u201d said Rousche. \u201cThis program is more than financial support; it\u2019s an investment in future leaders who will shape their communities and industries.
