Communities In Schools of Eastern Pennsylvania Honors PPL at Champions for Education Celebration on Nov. 13<\/p>\n

(June 17, 2025)\u2014<\/strong>Join Communities In Schools of Eastern Pennsylvania (CIS of Eastern PA) for its Champions for Education celebration on Thursday, November 13, from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. at DeSales University in Center Valley. The evening will honor PPL<\/a> Corporation<\/a>, which has been a loyal partner of CIS of Eastern PA for 23 years, providing financial support totalling nearly $400,000 through the PPL Foundation<\/a>.<\/p>\n PPL Corporation is an outstanding corporate citizen and a true champion for education,\u201d said CIS of Eastern PA President & CEO Tim Mulligan. “Their unwavering commitment to our students, through both generous support and hands-on involvement, has helped us break down barriers and open doors for students across the region. CIS is honored to recognize PPL\u2019s decades-long partnership in our mission to surround students with a community of support, empowering them to stay in school and achieve in life.<\/p>\n Grants funded by the PPL Foundation empower communities by supporting student success from cradle to career and promoting the development of vibrant and sustainable communities. PPL has supported CIS of Eastern PA through Earned Income Tax Credit (EITC) donations, support for the annual \u201cReady, Set, Graduate!\u201d celebration, Integrated Student Supports and more.<\/p>\n PPL\u2019s involvement extends beyond monetary contributions, with leadership serving on the board of directors and committees of CIS of Eastern PA. Employees at all levels of the company actively participate in classroom reading, book drives and distribution, school supply and winter coat drives.
