[Northampton County, PA]\u00a0<\/strong>\u2013 The Northampton County Department of Community & Economic Development (DCED) and Northampton Community College will host a FREE Workplace Safety and Health Awareness Training designed to help individuals and organizations reduce the risk of workplace injuries and health hazards.<\/p>\n

This 4-hour training session will be held on Wednesday, July 30, 2025, from 9:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the Northampton County Human Services Building, located at 2801 Emrick Blvd., Bethlehem, PA 18020.<\/p>\n

The training will provide essential awareness and prevention strategies on the following topics:<\/p>\n

\u00b7\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0Walking and Working Surfaces: Eliminating & Controlling Hazards<\/p>\n

\u00b7\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0Fall Prevention & Protection<\/p>\n

\u00b7\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0Fire Prevention & Emergency Response<\/p>\n

\u00b7\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0Hazardous Materials Awareness: Storage & Handling<\/p>\n

\u00b7\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0Electrical Safety Basics: Recognize & Prevent Shock & Overheated Devices<\/p>\n

\u00b7\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0Environmental Health Concerns: Including Lead & Radon Gas Exposure<\/p>\n

\u201cThis training is an important opportunity to strengthen safety practices in workplaces throughout our community,\u201d said Lamont G. McClure, Northampton County Executive. \u201cWe encourage municipal staff, first responders, nonprofit organizations, and public works employees to take advantage of this free resource.\u201d<\/p>\n

Registration is required by July 20, 2025.<\/p>\n
