{"id":143444,"date":"2025-07-01T19:42:29","date_gmt":"2025-07-01T23:42:29","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.thevalleyledger.com\/?p=143444"},"modified":"2025-07-01T19:42:29","modified_gmt":"2025-07-01T23:42:29","slug":"grand-view-health-joins-st-lukes-university-health-network","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.thevalleyledger.com\/?p=143444","title":{"rendered":"Grand View Health Joins St. Luke\u2019s University Health Network"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>Grand View Health Joins St. Luke\u2019s University Health Network<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Sellersville and Fountain Hill, Pa. \u2013 As of July 1st, Grand View Health has joined St. Luke\u2019s University Health Network, having received all necessary federal and state regulatory approvals.<\/p>\n<p>Grand View Hospital in Sellersville is St. Luke\u2019s 16th\u00a0campus, the culmination of a process that began in earnest last year.<\/p>\n<p>Last September, Grand View and St. Luke\u2019s announced they had signed a non-binding Letter of Intent to partner. On December 31st, both organizations signed a definitive agreement to proceed.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cAll of us at St. Luke\u2019s are extremely honored and pleased Grand View will be joining our Network,\u201d St. Luke\u2019s President &amp; CEO Rick Anderson said. \u201cGrand View and St. Luke\u2019s are an exceptional match for one another since Grand View, like St. Luke\u2019s, is committed to clinical excellence, has a similar culture and enjoys a long and proud history of providing high quality, compassionate care to its community.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Doug Hughes, who was named president and CEO of Grand View in 2022, will continue to serve as President of the St. Luke\u2019s Grand View Campus and report to St. Luke\u2019s Executive Vice President &amp; COO Joel Fagerstrom.<\/p>\n<p>Hughes was initially appointed interim president and CEO in 2021 and led Grand View Health during some of the most challenging years of the Covid epidemic. He also oversaw the addition of a 190,000-square-foot pavilion at Grand View Hospital and the accreditation of the hospital as a Level II trauma center. He began his employment at Grand View in 2018 in the role of Vice President and Chief Strategy Officer.<\/p>\n<p>Grand View Board of Trustees Chairman Robert Loughery said, \u201cOur Board of Trustees and senior leadership team are absolutely thrilled and very grateful for our community that Grand View will become part of St. Luke\u2019s, an organization whose name is synonymous with the highest quality, compassionate care and whose truly outstanding culture is admired by other health systems in Pennsylvania and nationwide.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Headquartered in Sellersville, Grand View was established in 1913 as Bucks County\u2019s first hospital.
