Trexlertown, PA \u2013 July 16, 2025<\/strong>\u00a0\u2014 This Friday night, the energy at the Valley Preferred Cycling Center will hit a new high as\u00a0Friday Night Under the Lights<\/em>\u00a0brings together competition, camaraderie, and a record-breaking mission. The evening features a reimagined\u00a0Corporate Challenge<\/strong>\u00a0and a highly anticipated\u00a0Flying Kilo Record Attempt<\/strong>\u00a0by Jamie Alvord of Edge Cycling to benefit the Team Arnav Foundation.<\/p>\n

Corporate Challenge: Teamwork, Speed, and Local Pride<\/strong><\/p>\n

This year\u2019s\u00a0Corporate Challenge<\/strong>\u00a0brings a fresh twist to a fan-favorite event. Teams will now consist of\u00a0three riders<\/strong>, each completing\u00a0two laps<\/strong>\u00a0around the track to cover the traditional 2km total distance. The new relay-style format promises even more excitement, strategy, and all-out effort.<\/p>\n

Returning to the competition are\u00a0Buckeye Pipeline<\/strong>\u00a0and\u00a0Valley Preferred<\/strong>, both veteran teams with plenty of local pride on the line.<\/p>\n

Flying Kilo Record Attempt: Jamie Alvord Rides for History and to Raise Money for Children Battling Rare Cancers<\/strong><\/p>\n

Wear yellow\u00a0 \"\ud83c\udf97\ufe0f\" and support the night\u2019s headline moment \u2014\u00a0Jamie Alvord<\/strong>\u00a0of Edge Cycling, will take on the\u00a0Flying Kilo Track Record<\/strong>\u00a0in honor of\u00a0Arnav Krishna<\/strong>, a former teammate and talented young cyclist whose final race was the Standing Kilo at Junior Track Nationals before his life was tragically cut short by pediatric osteosarcoma.<\/p>\n

The current record to beat is\u00a01:01.4<\/strong>, set in 2005. Alvord\u2019s effort is not only a shot at history, but a mission to support the\u00a0Team Arnav Foundation<\/strong>, raising awareness and funds for earlier diagnoses, better treatments, and hope for children battling rare cancers.<\/p>\n

\u201cThis isn\u2019t just about going fast,\u201d Alvord said. \u201cIt\u2019s about giving everything I have for Arnav, for kids like him, and for the sport that brought us together.\u201d<\/p>\n

Alvord and Edge Cycling aim to raise\u00a0$10,140\u00a0<\/strong>for the Foundation \u2014 inspired by the record time and donations are encouraged throughout the evening.<\/p>\n
