McClure, and the Department of Community and Economic Development (DCED) announce that the County of Northampton will begin accepting applications for 2025 Affordable Housing Program (AHP) grants on September 8th at 8:00 AM.\u00a0AHP funds are available to eligible non-profits, public agencies, local governments, government authorities, and for-profit developers of low-income housing. Grants must maintain or increase the availability of quality affordable housing for residents of Northampton County whose annual incomes are below 80% of the household median income for the County, using the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development\u2019s Section 8 income limits for 2025.<\/p>\n<p>Proposed projects must fall into one of three categories:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Create, retain, or improve rental units or owner-occupied housing<\/li>\n<li>Emergency housing services<\/li>\n<li>Transitional housing facilities and affordable housing supportive services<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Applications open on September 8th at 8:00 AM and close on October 17th, 2025.<\/p>\n<p>Interested organizations can apply by visiting the Northampton County Participant Portal hosted by Neighborly Software at:\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/portal.neighborlysoftware.com\/NORTHAMPTONCOUNTYPA\/participant\">https:\/\/portal.neighborlysoftware.com\/NORTHAMPTONCOUNTYPA\/participant<\/a><\/p>\n<p>Registration is required on the Participant Portal in order to apply.<\/p>\n<p>Program inquiries should be directed to:<br \/>\nNorthampton County Department of Community &amp; Economic Development<br \/>\nSarah Ortiz<br \/>\n610-829-6308<br \/>\n<a href=\"mailto:sortiz@norcopa.gov\">sortiz@norcopa.gov<\/a><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Northampton County, PA] \u2013 Northampton County Executive,\u00a0Lamont G.
