How does the transition to an online-only platform impact advertisers, revenue streams, and the community reader base? What does it mean for the reporters and editors who have dedicated their lives to their craft, now no longer numbering in the dozens but reduced to a handful in today\u2019s newsrooms?<\/p>\n<p>Join Eastonian Al Krazter\u2014cartoonist, creative director, and publisher\u2014for a brief history of\u00a0<em>The Express-Times<\/em>, the inside scoop on the business side of running a newspaper, and, in his words, \u201chow it all went to hell and the fight to survive.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>This program is part of a larger conversation surrounding Northampton County Historical and Genealogical Society&#8217;s new special exhibition,\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/aqdz6geab.cc.rs6.net\/tn.jsp?f=001CKi0z7MeiQsCyGWMlbSA8XsFC5ylgcgGxsnxWyA822HY6XA2aLV9CJ-RNSFfFto1wlL6tTiDrfjiXkgcfZvtn9x5vZ6eN8gjl1JcfdTjny_OsqvJq1iaDmatsX05i6L6JBA9xr6XpdB2H7FcUe4d4LeKzLHxUChLkvQPcuvabEE=&amp;c=6D3oPVxmEGSz4-5mhLEIDxTFqvjazOJfQf3DGGArjC1hTnfuPqq0Pg==&amp;ch=BqvZ13n7FzMp6zJcS3_wwmCfIShZkvrdrHVvk3VBH0z4FmXGUryUtQ==\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><em>Read This! The History of Media in Northampton County<\/em><\/a>,\u00a0on view at the Sigal Museum.\u00a0The exhibition explores how newspapers, radio, television, and digital platforms have shaped the ways Northampton County residents received, shared, and understood information over more than 250 years.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cAl Kratzer\u2019s program shines a light on the profound changes local newspapers have undergone and the impact those changes have had on our community,&#8221; notes Executive Director Megan van Ravenswaay. &#8220;His personal stories connect us to a time when newspapers were the heartbeat of Easton, and they challenge us to consider the future of local news in a digital age.
