\nCENTER VALLEY, Pa.<\/strong> \u2014 More than 30 local and regional employers will gather at Penn State Lehigh Valley on\u00a0Wednesday, October 23,\u00a0for the 3rd Annual Business, Technology, and Engineering Career Fair, taking place from 4 to 6 p.m.\u00a0 The event is free and open to current students from Penn State\u2019s Commonwealth Campuses, as well as Lehigh Carbon, Northampton, and Bucks County Community Colleges.<\/p>\n

Students will have the opportunity to connect with company representatives from a wide range of industries, including manufacturing, health care, information technology, retail, and engineering. Participating employers include Air Products, Good Shepherd, Crayola, St. Luke\u2019s, Lehigh Valley Health Network\/Jefferson Health, Bosch, Olympus, Lutron, Merck, and Volvo\/Mack, among others.<\/p>\n

\u201cThis event provides students with an excellent opportunity to explore career paths and begin building their professional networks,\u201d said Kellie Provost-Brown, career specialist and event co-organizer at PSU-LV. \u201cAll majors are encouraged to attend. Employers are looking for talent across disciplines, and students\u2014especially first-year students\u2014can benefit from engaging with professionals early in their college experience.\u201d<\/p>\n

Provost-Brown emphasized that the event is designed to help students explore opportunities beyond immediate job openings. \u201cEmployers want to have a presence on campus to build relationships for future hiring needs,\u201d she added. \u201cStudents don\u2019t need to be actively seeking an internship to attend and learn about potential career paths.\u201d<\/p>\n

According to Mark Capofari, assistant teaching professor and program coordinator for project and supply chain management and event co-organizer, the addition of PSU-LV\u2019s four-year engineering degree has expanded the reach of the fair. \u201cOur new engineering program has drawn additional interest from employers,\u201d Capofari said. \u201cCompanies like Air Products and Bosch are joining us for the first time, which opens even more doors for students across multiple fields. The continued participation of returning employers demonstrates the quality and preparedness of our students.\u201d<\/p>\n
