The Muhlenberg College\u00a02025 Living Writers Series<\/strong>\u00a0continues\u00a0Oct. 23<\/strong>\u00a0with a free public reading, discussion, and book signing with author\u00a0Safia Elhillo<\/strong>, featuring her book “Girls That Never Die.”<\/a><\/p>\n

Sudanese by way of Washington, D.C., Safia Elhillo is a prize-winning poet and author of \u201dThe January Children,\u201d \u201dGirls That Never Die,\u201d \u201dHome Is Not A Country,\u201d and \u201dBright Red Fruit.\u201d Elhillo\u2019s work appears in Poetry Magazine, Callaloo, and The Academy of American Poets\u2019 Poem-a-day series, among others, and in anthologies including \u201dThe BreakBeat Poets: New American Poetry in the Age of Hip-Hop\u201d and \u201dThe Penguin Book of Migration Literature.\u201d Her work has been translated into several languages, and commissioned by Under Armour, Cuyana, and the Bavarian State Ballet.<\/p>\n
