The fall 2025 safety grade is a national recognition for commitment to patient safety<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n

PHILADELPHIA, NOVEMBER 13, 2025<\/strong>\u00a0\u2013 Jefferson Health earned 12 \u201cA\u201d Hospital Safety Grades from The Leapfrog Group, an independent national nonprofit watchdog focused on patient safety. Leapfrog assigns an \u201cA,\u201d \u201cB,\u201d \u201cC,\u201d \u201cD\u201d or \u201cF\u201d grade to hospitals across the country using evidence-based measures of patient safety focused exclusively on errors, accidents, injuries and infections.<\/p>\n

Those hospitals earning a fall 2025 \u201cA\u201d\u00a0Hospital Safety Grade<\/a>\u00a0are Jefferson Cherry Hill Hospital, Jefferson Washington Township Hospital, Jefferson Methodist Hospital, Jefferson Frankford Hospital, Jefferson Lansdale Hospital, Jefferson Abington Hospital, Jefferson Einstein Philadelphia Hospital, Jefferson Einstein Montgomery Hospital, Lehigh Valley Hospital\u2013Dickson City, Lehigh Valley Hospital\u2013Hazleton, Lehigh Valley Hospital\u2013Pocono and Lehigh Valley Hospital\u2013Schuylkill.<\/p>\n

Among the hospitals, Jefferson Washington Township Hospital earned an \u201cA\u201d grade for the seventh consecutive time, Lehigh Valley Hospital\u2013Pocono earned an \u201cA\u201d for the fourth consecutive time, and Jefferson Einstein Montgomery Hospital earned an \u201cA\u201d for the ninth consecutive time.<\/p>\n

Earning \u201cB\u201d grades in fall 2025 are Jefferson Stratford Hospital,\u00a0<\/strong>Thomas Jefferson University Hospital, Jefferson Torresdale Hospital, Lehigh Valley Hospital\u2013Cedar Crest, Lehigh Valley Hospital\u2013Hecktown Oaks and Lehigh Valley Hospital\u2013Muhlenberg.<\/p>\n

The Leapfrog Hospital Safety Grade stands as the only hospital ratings program focused solely on preventable medical errors, infections and injuries that kill more than 500 patients a day in the United States. This program is peer-reviewed, fully transparent and free to the public. Grades are updated twice annually, in the fall and spring.<\/p>\n
