EASTON, Pa. (December 16, 2025) –\u00a0JOSHWAY<\/a><\/u>, a nonprofit dedicated to equipping young people with the tools they need to thrive in today\u2019s complex digital world, is leading the conversation around youth digital literacy through new programming and community partnerships. The launch of this programming follows JOSHWAY\u2019s qualification as an\u00a0Educational Improvement Organization (EIO)<\/a><\/u>, which means the nonprofit is eligible to receive\u00a0PA Educational Improvement Tax Credit Program (EITC)<\/a><\/u>\u00a0contributions for its\u00a0digital knowledge programming<\/a><\/u>, including the Digital Diet Workshop, JOSHWAY Lab Experiences and its Podcast Network.<\/div>\n
<\/div>\n
\u201cDigital literacy can\u2019t just be a conversation; it has to be a movement,\u201d said JOSHWAY Founder David Robertson. \u201cYouth can\u2019t do it alone, and truthfully, neither can adults. We\u2019re all navigating the same digital pressure, and we believe this is our moment to lead that movement, and we accept the challenge.\u201d<\/div>\n

JOSHWAY\u2019s lineup of interactive programs focused on digital knowledge equips youth with tools to restore balance, identity and mental health in the age of technology.<\/div>\n
<\/div>\n
The\u00a0Digital Diet Workshop\u00a0is a 90-minute experience designed to help students, families and schools reflect on their relationship with technology through guided discussion, surveys and best practices for digital well-being. The\u00a0JOSHWAY Lab Experience\u00a0series introduces hands-on skill-building opportunities that turn technology into a tool for creativity and purpose. Its first installment, Making a Song with GarageBand, teaches students the fundamentals of digital music production and storytelling. Finally, the\u00a0JOSHWAY Podcast Network\u00a0will offer a platform for young voices to explore topics such as life skills, mental health, creative purpose and leadership, all from a youth-centered perspective.<\/div>\n

\u201cOur programs not only engage youth in meaningful ways, but also open doors for community members and donors to support our work with real, tax-deductible impact,\u201d said Robertson.<\/div>\n

Additionally, JOSHWAY is exploring partnerships with community organizations, including\u00a0United Way of the Greater Lehigh Valley<\/a><\/u>, the\u00a0Shanthi Project<\/a><\/u>, as well as the Easton, Bethlehem, Allentown and Parkland school districts. Through its programming and community partnerships, JOSHWAY hopes to transform digital stressors into possibilities. JOSHWAY\u2019S impact is already being felt across youth-serving groups such as\u00a0El Sistema Lehigh Valley<\/a><\/u>, the\u00a0Boys & Girls Club of Bethlehem<\/a><\/u>,\u00a0The Century Promise<\/a><\/u>\u00a0and\u00a0Community Bike Works<\/a><\/u>\u00a0of Easton.<\/div>\n

\u201cJOSHWAY isn\u2019t just creating programs. They\u2019re creating pathways,\u201d said Amanda Haag, program manager and choral director at El Sistema Lehigh Valley. \u201cTheir work inspires our students to dream bigger, amplify their voice, and step confidently into their future. Through the opportunities they facilitate, JOSHWAY is giving young people the tools to thrive. It\u2019s an honor to partner with an organization so deeply committed to empowering the next generation to unlock their full potential.\u201d<\/div>\n

Looking ahead, JOSHWAY is developing an AI-powered digital literacy program to extend its Digital Diet experience through adaptive, data-driven learning.<\/div>\n

\u201cMy personal goal is to host a mental health and technology conference here in the Lehigh Valley, bringing together families, educators and innovators to address these challenges head-on,\u201d said Robertson.<\/div>\n
