ALLENTOWN, PA<\/strong>\u00a0 \u2014 Ce-Ce Gerlach, Allentown City Councilperson, longtime Center City resident and working-class champion, will hold a press conference this\u00a0Saturday, January 3rd<\/strong>\u00a0at\u00a012:30 p.m. at 8th and Gordon<\/strong>\u00a0to outline her plans for 2026 and the future of her grassroots movement, following the Democratic Party\u2019s selection of a nominee for the Special Election.<\/p>\n

The press conference comes at a pivotal moment for voters in the district, many of whom have expressed\u00a0frustration with insider-driven political processes<\/strong>\u00a0and the growing disconnect between party leadership and working-class communities.<\/p>\n

\u201cFor too long, decisions that affect working people have been made behind closed doors,\u201d said Gerlach.<\/p>\n

Gerlach emphasized that her campaign has always been about\u00a0expanding participation, transparency, and accountability<\/strong>\u00a0\u2014 not about legacy names, political favors, or inherited power.<\/p>\n

\u201cThis movement has never been about party insiders,\u201d Gerlach added. \u201cIt\u2019s about renters, homeowners, workers, immigrants, and families struggling to get by \u2014 and I\u2019m running\u00a0to change the status quo<\/strong>\u00a0so working people have a real choice and a real voice in their government.\u201d<\/p>\n

Saturday\u2019s event will outline Gerlach\u2019s vision for the\u00a0next phase of organizing, policy advocacy, and electoral engagement heading into 2026<\/strong>. Supporters, community members, and members of the press are encouraged to attend.<\/p>\n
