(March 2, 2026) <\/strong>&#8211; <a href=\"http:\/\/www.newbethany.org\/\">New Bethany Inc.<\/a>, a local nonprofit dedicated to providing food access, housing and social services to those experiencing poverty, hunger and homelessness, announced the appointment of C\u00e9sar C\u00f3rdova Collao as the president of the nonprofit\u2019s Board of Directors.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;C\u00e9sar brings a deep, lived understanding of our community to his role as board president,\u201d said John Marc Rittle, executive director of New Bethany. \u201cHaving lived on both the South and West sides of Bethlehem and working on the Northside, he truly represents the heart of our neighborhoods. His strong relationships with the key community organizations and city leaders have already strengthened our work in meaningful ways.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>C\u00f3rdova has been a member of New Bethany\u2019s board since 2022 and began chairing the nominating committee in 2024.<\/p>\n<p>C\u00f3rdova is a health and physical education teacher at <a href=\"https:\/\/basdwpweb.beth.k12.pa.us\/liberty\/\">Liberty High School<\/a>, and previously served as a community school coordinator at <a href=\"https:\/\/basdwpweb.beth.k12.pa.us\/marvine\/\">Marvine Elementary School<\/a> for <a href=\"https:\/\/www.slhn.org\/\">St. Luke\u2019s<\/a> <a href=\"https:\/\/www.slhn.org\/\">University Health Network<\/a> from 2017 to 2022. He received his master\u2019s from <a href=\"https:\/\/www2.lehigh.edu\/\">Lehigh University\u2019s<\/a> <a href=\"https:\/\/ed.lehigh.edu\/\">College of Education<\/a> and is pursuing his doctorate from the same institution.
